Trove is the number 1 MMO right now

And im actually being serious. Trove takes everything other MMO's are trying to do and makes it streamlined, more action packed, and more repetitive...alright look, yes its repetitive combat, but its shiny and pretty and you know what damn it im enjoying it!

Even just being able to straight teleport to each other, god that is so much better than any fast travel system an MMO can have. If were going to do themepark, hell make it like Trove. Let us jump right into the action, gve us legendarys and Epics for every drop and make us feel like the badass's you say we want us to be.

It makes perfect sense right!?

    I hope the success of Trove prompts Trion to develop more in-house games.

    LOL - no offense taken - my kids love Trove so yeah, a bunch of kids play it - the game totally works for all ages IMO.

    I should clarify, he(my son) is really good at minecraft and lego games and he keeps asking me about this game.

    Would it be really hard for him to pick up?

    Also, how friendly is it? Like, my son watches youtube videos and some people curse and stuff and he knows he can't watch it. Sexual innuendo, etc.

    Yes. It is largely Minecraft (then there's also some combat). It's very lighthearted and kid-friendly... until your login breaks and you're no longer allowed to log in :(

    Yeah, it's fun, but it's a pretty large stretch to call it the best MMO.

    I am a Trove fan and have played since Alpha  - I do not agree.  It's a good game for awhile but it's glamour wears off over time. It's a very niche game and will NEVER be Number 1.

    If Trove was number 1 mmorpg i would quit playing the genre.Trove is like 1970-1990 gaming with lego blocks ,,no thanks developers can do a LOT better,they have the resources the technology and the knowledge so USE IT,this is no longer the DOS 3 era.

    Yup the block voxels was a no go for me. Just could not get past those to get into the game.

    But hey for those that like the game ...more power to em i say.

    We need all kinds of games. For sure there are all kinds of different people that like different things out there.

    Never even heard of "login breaking bug" happening to anyone in my club - like ever - even in alpha 2 years ago.

    When I try to login to the game, it says "wrong password", even though the password works when logging into their site. I've reset my password, I've emailed back and forth with support several times, I've even reinstalled the whole thing. It just won't let me login.

    I eventually gave up :(

    Trove isn't for everyone. It's a very casual, fun toy. But yes, the game mechanics are actually very well done. There's a ton of depth and lots of things to do.

    Maybe not the best MMO, but it's certainly a good time.

    It's a visual game and this is 2016, games like these that come with graphics that look like it came straight out of a trash can of 1970 should just die.

    We call it "discussion" around these parts.

    I'll have to agree, never have neen much of a builder, preferred Erector sets to Legos, and voxels just arent for me.

    But the title has a solid following and caters to it's niche well.

    As said earlier,  its someone's #1 MMO, just not mine.

    If I wasn't playing a mix of other MMO, and single player games.   I'd probably give this a try.

    Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent.

    The combat really turned me off. It was so repetitive, and I had like 4 skills, I don't know if you get more later?

    It's a cool little time waster.  I mean that in the sense that I can't play for more than 30 minutes a day because I'm not a collector or builder and so when I've capped my cubes I'm done for the day lol.
