CORRECTION: Techland and Game UK are offering fans of Dying Light a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a star in an upcoming film based on the popular survival RPG. One person, one very rich $10,000,000 spending person, will be given acting lessons, and star in a supporting role in the forthcoming movie.

    Doesn't look like a prize, or contest.. so much as a $10,000,000 priced offer to get all that..

    As it states at the end in the fine print.. "*Parties interested in purchasing The Spotlight Edition are asked to contact Techland representatives in order to take legal steps required to finalize the purchase".

    Isn't that a spot in movie being sold for 10 million dollars? I think your article is wrong, they're not choosing any Dying Light owner, they're just selling the role.

    Well they jumped the shark there, I was wondering when the first 100K 'donation' level for a kickstarter would happen, they just went right past that and straight to 10 million.

    Obviously a publicity stunt...that worked.

    You'd have to be a pretty damn hardcore fan to do that!
    On the bright side, you skip all the auditioning for crappy commercials and stuff, and go right to the big leagues with that 10 million.

    But as @tawess pointed out, you can probably bribe some director to star you in something for far less. xD

    I think people is taking this semi-joke way too serious. I do not think they expect anyone to bite. On the other hand, if someone DOES bite, well then that will be the marketing win of the year. Imagine the press that would lead to.

    well on the bright side the person that purchases the role can probably say not only did they pay all the salaries for the cast and crew members, but also provided the budget for the movie to be filmed :p
