They always let people in that never actually BETA test. Been playing mmorpgs since Meridian 59 and never get beta keys anymore.
That's because these aren't really tests anymore. They are highly scripted and carefully controlled marketing events, designed to drum up pre-release sales and gauge initial player loads for amount of server capacity required.
I do treat betas like the demo versions they have become now. I used to take it seriously and file very detailed bug reports, but It's not like the developers actually ever looked at anything you submit to fix anyway. The "final release" is almost always a hot mess in worse shape than any of the beta tests ever where.
Don't forget by installing "Black Desert" you are also installing "XingCode3" Which will run constantly in the background of your computer regardless of the game running or not, with no "Uninstaller".
Still waiting on the developers of this game to properly notify people of this but they haven't.
come on guys thats not the way to giveaway keys ... why dont u let us sign for the giveaway and choose the winners and send them the keys through email ? ... not all of us can stay here and wait and wait for the keys to pop up
When has the last beta before launch for any MMO not been 90% promotion and 10% stress test?
You are right here, but for me this door swings both ways.
If a company is too cheap on keys and it becomes a real struggle for me to get one and see at least if the game runs well on my machine, i skip it altogether as i wouldn't buy any game untested.
So BETA is 90% promotion, but if a studio or publisher makes it hard for me to come by that "promotion" and hand out keys in double digits to a few websites to which i have to attend sitting here in diapers with my finger on the F5 key, keep your game instead.
Llike recently some company wanted me to sub to their twitter thing, like them on facebook, partake in surveys "why do you like our game?" or other silly events for a beta key.

Sadly it's always like that.

Beautifully designed open world
One thinks they may be accentuating this point a tad

Always hating on instances in MMOs! Open worlds, open PvP, territory control and housing please. More persistence, more fun.
