Daum has published the official patch notes for the second closed beta for Black Desert Online. The notes come packed with information about things that will be available in game and with news about server structure, cash shop prices and the level cap increase from 50 to 55.

Seems like B2p means milk them for as much as you can for them.

You do not play on Russian servers of the game. Without cash in this "free" game impossible to play, and most importantly the spyware is installed with the client. They promised a premium paid server, it bought a very few people, but it was never opened.
There's bound to be a furor when it happens, with calls for refunds etc. So they'll have to leave it a while. After six months the player numbers will have significantly trailed off, and those still playing will probably be glad of the boost to the population.
Personally I'll carry on through the closed beta, then sit back and see how it pans out. I don't see enough that's different over the other recent offerings to part with a buy cost at present.
Even with a completely ftp model it may still struggle to woo away BnS players.
Especially with how quickly we were able to get them to change the cash shop opening date ( funny right? lol )
Everything is pretty much reasonable within the cash shop - the worst is the costumes, BUT, they aren't required to play the game.

just an FYI that many people don't seem to know - The mobs for quests spawn in a HUGE area around the area that it directs you to. Everyone is basically sitting on the generic spawn point, look around a little ..

It was, but then Daum happend, and it was turned around 180 degrees, removed open world pvp, instanced everything, removal of world bosses etc. It's not a "soloable" experience that follows every other generic themepark there is, though with nice graphics and fun gameplay mechanics. Sadly they're putting everything on the "combat mechanic" and while combat is fun, grinding from start to max level gets kinda boring really fast.
Daum's actually a great publisher. They have been listening and changing things according to what the people want. Especially when they flame the forums about it.
Open world pvp is still there - nothings instanced? .. World bosses are still there - were you not in CBT1?....

It was a long Delay, but it was worth the wait.
Russian B2P server, gives you 2 cats and 1 full costume for free just for leveling your character to lvl 50. Plus they stated that Cash Shop items will never be sold on Auction House - this means it is the only server with out P2W and that Credit card would not give players an advantage here.
P.S Costumes in RU Cash Shop cost 22 Euro, and Pets 5 euro.

you will miss the lower subs of only 12-20$ a months with decent update and no gimmick for ENJOY the game, f2p are all about cut the fun and make peoples pay for enjoy them
dev think, it realy not fun when you alway have your bag space fulll, let it make it small so people become so angry they pay 10$ for unlock them,
mmorpg f2p are all about giving shit free and make people so angry they unlock the game for just enjoy it a bit
One P2P server isn't going to cover 3 Free servers. One server that is 10% full won't last. Maybe if they went with my idea of 90% AI-player-characters.

It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
Why stop? You can try the game for free to make up your own mind about the game. A lot of player won't care about the Cash shop and beeing the best of the best - the best. The game is fun and will keep many players playing for month.
No it looks like they went with a standard server setup. They have two servers per region for a total of 4 servers. They have 4 channels each which is pretty standard for Korean games (TERA, Blade and Soul, and Aion all have a multiple server structure with multiple channels per server). So not as good as the 2-3 channels people wanted, but 4 is pretty darn good. I'd say it's a win for the multiple server crowd, with 6 read to be turned on in cases of high demand. Not too bad.

do you enjoy got a slow horse when everyone run near you at 5x your speed ?
do you enjoy got your bag space alway full and you need to to the bank at every 5 min ?
do you enjoy being unable to change your skill if you make a mistake ?
do you enjoy gettng killed by monster because you did not buy in the cash shop ?
do you enjoy wait for put your skill pts because you did not buy premium

many people just want to have fun and these f2p crap game cut all the fun behind pay wall, when a f2p game cost hundred more to enjoy that a subs the same way ( not more !! ) then f2p are crap and we got a problem.

That's why they have 4 channels, to spread out the population so you have less competition for mobs. You're supposed to switch channels. Also go farther away, there are mobs in other parts of the area that count for your quests.
At this rate, all that will be left of "listening to the demands of the players" will be the B2P upfront cost, lol
And even that will probably be gone in 4 months' time...
