Today marks the launch of The Fury of the Tempest update for Trion Worlds and Bluehole Ginno's Action MMORPG, Devilian. Along with the brand new Tempest class, the level cap is boosted to 54, and the Devilian level cap is increased to 30, with tons of new content to explore.

    This game has horrible endgame and a terrible cash model. Charging for a class that was already out in Korea is just icing on the cake.

    Giving current players something for their loyalty to a dying game would have built goodwill.

    In my opinion, this game is way too expensive for what it is. Diablo 3 is free after purchase and is a far far better game. If they positioned this as a side game to triple A mmorpgs then they could have been onto something, however competing at the same price point = reliance on whales rather then lots of people paying something towards it.

    I found Devilian to be be quite boring. POE, DIABLO 3 & GRIM DAWN, all of them seem to be much better than Devilian ( IMHO). Also, pointing out the bad points of any game associated with TRION will always get a certain poster to roll on in and start waving a flag printed with the words * THIS GAME IS AWESOME, GO TRION !* num num num.

    I am sorry, but to love a game is great. However, defending a company and the games they are associated with to such an extent is just a wee bit weird ;)

    My spec - take slaughter to Electric field (amazing skill), then everything else dump into Lancer.

    I would be perfectly alright with monetizing class if they were not already heavily monetizing inventory and warehouse space for each character. To buy inventory and warehouse expansion for each character is already costly enough and should generate a lot of $$ for trion but they want more out of class too. This class has been out along with level 60 content in thai version completely free. This is just beyond sad what trion is doing these days. They think they can be EA but they can't, playing share market and using outrageous monetizing scheme is not enough to become EA.

    Can't agree with monetizing new class when it is already free on another region. There is already way too much inventory and warehouse monetizing per character, i don't think they needed to monetize the class too. But it seems they want the dead snake and the stick and the in game population tells me it is not working very well for them. i don't want to call it an mmo seriously, cause only a handful guild with 20-30 players playing together with total 100 player per server doesn't make anything mmo. it is at best a large co-op game.

    So i take it that Trion has to "sponsor" articles because otherwise nobody cares to report about news on the great game Devilian...?

    No offense but YOU are the reason why these P2W things keep happening. People like you that buy whatever bullshit these companies throw at you.
