You wanted Free to Play and you got it. This is the result. Live with it.
A few of us tried for a couple years to warn people that this stuff was just over the horizon. It won't get any cheaper, in fact everything that you will want to have in game will keep getting more and more ridiculous when it comes to prices.
I'm not joking when I say that there will come a time when you're playing an FPS and you will get one clip of ammo per life. In order to have more than one per life you'll have to pay a weekly or monthly fee to be able to reload.
Maybe it's time we got back to paying $15 a month and having every item be attainable through in-game means.
I don think its expensive enough, the people that spend money in a cash shop for cosmetic items need to be turned upside down and have the their pockets emptied. Vanity has its price.
I can understand how upsetting this might be for many. But I prefer them to sell expensive customs and nothing else rather than exploring other means to charge the players. I know that's naive, but I prefer that anyways
The idea that a game like Black Desert can survive off cosmetic sales is impossible - this is something the general public doesnt know.
Mmorpgs can't survive off cosmetic sales.
Now I am talking MMORPGs not MOBAs, which are entirely different.
If you could only see the actual sales for cosmetic items from these games you would be surprised how abysmally low they are.
It is not a sustainable model.
While I don't have your inside sources, Kano, I have noticed that in the past. I'm guessing at least the pets with certain functions (like collect loot) bring in more money than the costumes do?

OMG stop trying to justify this crap. EVERYONE avoid this game and it will send a message to the entire Industry. We need to completely bankrupt these idiots so we can take back the power to set the market.
So easy to say "We must boycott", however without a major moral dilemma behind it to empower such..... there will always be a fool and his money that will keep this model alive.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have friends who believe that every moment you spend playing a video game you are wasting the potential of your life. Every dime that you spend on video games is a dime that can be spent on things that are actually of worth.
So then can we imagine both your posts on some forum somewhere where people lament that others are playing video games?
It always amazes me that "some people" feel they have the moral high ground where in reality there is always another group out there that looks down upon that "high ground".
I used to have a colleague like that. xD He always complained about his teenage son wasting his life with those stupid things, when he could've been working out or doing something "productive" instead.

Since people compared this games model often to Gw2. Even in Gw2 the costume cost 10-12 euro.
And WoW is a subscription game with a cash shop where mounts can cost upwards of $25. BDO's cash shop isn't expensive considering it's B2P. If looking pretty in a virtual game is that important to someone, maybe they should get a job.
I feel sorry for you, I really do. Since you think that this items aren't expensive, you will be likely buying them, and Korean will be making millions on bakas like you. It's not just Koreans, every other MMO with cash shop will be milking your wallet like this.

Well enjoy your Pixels.
Indeed, poor slob with higher disposable income than you...
I was about to deride their price level for cosmetic stuff by saying "Horse Armor", but then I watched the video of someone in the Ghillie Suit. OMG! In areas with plants, that's damn near total invisibility if you aren't moving! Someone also pointed out that in the Korean version, they have a Desert camo of some kind as well! Sure, it's not released here, but you know it will be. I was really interested in this one, but now I think I'll wait it out and see if it P2Ws or Archeages itself.

You are wrong, i don't think he is poor, if he thinks that prices in the Cash Shop are not expensive.
Still, don't see your point. Why would you call him an unlucky fellow, if he is wealthy enough to consider the prices of Cash shop not expensive?
You feel sorry for him for being able to afford something you cannot - being wealthy is a tragedy of his life, unlucky fellow...
/sigh
You should really learn to read post carefully befor replying. I felt sorry for him not because he is wealthy, but because his wealth will end up in the hands of crooks at Daum company, that lure players in with pretty Pixels and strip them of their well earned money.
Overpriced cosmetics vs. items that increase player strength? I hate that these seem to be the only two options but i think i'll take overpriced cosmetics.
But their cosmetic costumes have set stats!
Check the YouTube review on it, and yes the stags are Op as feck!

Thanks for the updates on this.
I had hopes for this game, but now I'm skipping it completely instead.
If people want to buy it, it's no skin off your nose. It isn't the much lamented P2W... it's cosmetics. Let them buy it. It's their money and if it makes them happy, I say go for it. However, I won't be partaking.

For pure cosmetcis, I would agree.
When adding stats, it's no longer cosmetics, it IS p2w. I won't even consider to support games with "forced" cash shops, never had and never will.
Those stats don't stack .Exp is of no use it is quite easy to level from what I understand. I think the items do not stack meaning it is 10 not 10+10+10.
The point is the games these days need to make money same as before so they give a little advantage like experience which you can earn just by spending more time playing. Don't see the problem here.
