If the game was F2P I'd say it was inevitable given the mass amount of f2p titles that follow that trend. But being that it's B2P, it would cause them more trouble to make a "p2w" scheme... Therefor it's doubtful that it will ever happen unless they drop down to a garbage f2p model...
"Never, because...because...well... because I say so?"
Your poll wording isn't impartial. If you are following an agenda don't masquerade it as a poll. This looks like one of those rigged elections
Maybe you can suggest a better reason for why someone would think it will never go P2W other then because they say so? All the evidence is pointing toward BDO going P2W, it's just a matter of time, which we speculate on in this poll. Besides, I included an option for people like you as well,'You bastard!' , go vote

Sounds logical. So we can assume that heavy P2W might go in same time as F2P?

Based on how much Daum EU has changed both the game and the cash shop from the Korean version to make Western players happy, I'm going to say never. Honestly what will kill this game is how hardcore it is.
Sure the casual PvE players that just play it for the sandboxy activties like farming, housing, fishing, trading, etc. will be fine. But those that are into PvP will soon realize how much of a niche this game is when it comes to that and will quit in droves when they realize they need to hardcore no life it every week for the rest of the game's lifetime in order to keep up. And anyone who doesn't fit into one of those two niche categories will quickly realize this game is not for them.
Yes the game is beautiful, great combat, and a nice change of pace in a lot of ways from other games. But it's still very niche and once players get over the honeymoon phase they will realize that. Though the hardcore PvP crowd and the PvE sandbox casuals already know that (most of them anyway) and don't really care. It's just everyone else who will get a massive slap into reality.

I personally think it'll happen 1-3 months, 9 out of 10 MMOs (maybe more) had the same story and I fail to see BDO being any different. But still you should word the answers differently so if someone believes it will never tank the option wouldn't make him sound stupid hence he'd participate in the discussion. I am reviewing your poll, not sure what do you mean by "people like me" part.
Gaming Rocks next gen. community for last gen. gamers launching soon.
Its a great game, people that played for the most part are in love with it, watched many streams, all streamers loved it, so did their audience. I liked it a ton in CBT2. It wont tank.

Ok, point taken and I tried to change the 'Never' option but apperantly you can't edit polls.

Hmm. When will it tank? At the start of RNG boxes that offer more than cosmetics as usual followed by the forums exploding. That's if DAUM gets greedy and takes that route.
Most are annoyed at some items in the cash shop like bag/storage slots. A B2P with F2P elements with those items locked behind a paywall with no way of reaching max space. Do you really need max (192?) slots?
Some will argue yes, we do. Some will say, I don't need max but I will spend a little more for "convenience." Some don't care either way.
As far as me personally, I'll hope for the best but won't be surprised with the worst.
It's B2P so I believe the cash shop will be a non-issue.
I am a little concerned that I may be forced to spend at the cash shop to change my appearance. I only played to level 20 but my outfit look only seemed to change once since level 1. I hope I am just missed something on that.
Did Gw2 magically get a free pass for having a shop that's pretty much the same?
But yeah, I don't think it will go P2W, as in it's true meaning, have items in the cash shop that could not be obtained in any other way and give the player an unfair advantage compared to someone that doesn't have said items. And no, I don't think that the stupidly overpriced costumes I have seen in the shop give any kind of unfair advantage nor is P2W.
I will also agree with the first person that said it, it will go the same route as Gw2 did as they are more or less using the same model which I personally have no issue with.
The speed of the mole and the power of steel is my weapon
Can we get a poll when all the disgruntled folks will find their next thing to hate and move along to it?
BDO NA/EU is most likely not going to be worse than KR when it comes to P2W. Which in of itself isn't that bad.
The big issue is gear scaling/balance. If someone wants to drop $1k on pets to buy good gear that isn't better than someone that doesn't pay, I don't care. It's when the gear they can buy is potentially much harder to obtain in-game, yet easy with RMT and makes them stronger than the average.
Beyond that, only the +combat XP is really P2W in my eyes. Everything else is pretty meh.
For $30, BDO is a great product. Compared to a sub game which cost $150-200+ a year, someone could get a lot from the shop for the same amount.
Those that think gaming is fair or that someone with more time/money isn't going to have an advantage are just fooling themselves. Has always been like this and always will be, regardless of pay model or game design.
From what I have read, end game this MMO is a flop. Unless you are a GvG PvPer. So it takes most people 1-3 months to level to max and it takes 1-2 weeks to get board. So my guess (and have been made fun for saying so) is this game will go F2P in about 3 months, 6 max. The cash shop at that point will get more aggressive I am sure, not that going F2P or cash shop changes are bad. Its just how our current market works for MMOs.
I find this poll really insulting and not really thought out one bit. Not only do you show that you are against the game simply by the way you labeled the options to vote but the title alone gives it away. And it seems as if people like you don't seem to understand something.
1. This game is a Sandbox not Themepark type of game so the players who are looking for the old dungeons are really going to disappointed. The Sandbox element in this game alone would have players playing this game for hours upon hours without that player ever stepping into pvp. For the younger players who never played a Sanbox game will not have any fun here at all. 2. At what point does a game that offer "fluffy" gear sells become a P2W type of game? At some point did you see GW2 as being P2W? The items being sold alone will not effect anyone at all and at that same time this game is a BUY TO PLAY NOT FREE TO PLAY GAME. 3. I played it the whole time it was out for beta testing and found myself very interested and it was nice to actually see a game that does not have gold spammers all over the place. 4. I don't think you actually played the game at all, what I think you did was just ran around picking up quest and leveling your character to the max you did. This was not playing the game, if you would have played it you would noticed how in depth the game was alone in crafting and side quest and mini games.
They're going to put some items in the shop that are dangerously close to being P2W. They also said they won't allow people to sell cash shop items on the market during launch. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence lol.

With in a Month. The profits that they will get or lose if they don't is too great to keep it on a shelf for too long.
I expect to see Pets and Costume first to appear on the games Auction house. Than some other less important items.
