I keep forgetting people are so hungry for info, they'll take a non-comment as gospel. Sorry guys, I should be more careful.

I doubt Ubi will make this always online game without Micros.
However how does that change an over priced game and future DLC's that will add to the over priced game?
They don't need microtransactions with this price and i expect dlc's will be around 20 bucks each, who knows maybe 25/30.
Me i 'll wait until Steam offers me the game plus a couple DLC's for 30 bucks:P
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Ubisoft's Natchai Stappers has gone on record via Twitter as saying that The Division will neither have microtransactions nor become a pay-to-win title. This is in opposition to other Ubisoft games like Rainbow Six and Assassin's Creed that do have microtransactions.

Did say it, but think it wasn't an official statement. Probably thought what they said was right, got told it hasn't been decided yet and thought best to correct themselves because they know how crazy a community can get with one bit of information official or not., heck people lose their minds over speculation.
maybe they call em macro transactions :P
beeeecause, ya know, paying micro is little but maaacro... uh nm *g*

Change micro-transaction to Mini-DLC. Map DLC's, Weapon DLC's etc...
not on console.

On 1 side you are right, but on the other not really... You are forgetting 1 important thing. In subscription-based games like WoW for example there is equality among all players, while in games that have DLC/Microtransactions such thing doesn't exist. Yes if you are buying just the bare minimum of necessaties that you need you might be able to spend less than a yearly sub, but often times there is always "1 more thing" you need to buy from the microtransaction shop :P
I personally like sub-based games because everyone is equal and you know that neither you nor they have advantage over anyone else in the game. Of course there are games with microtransactions that don't affect the equality in any way like Path of Exile for example.
yea, why the hell would someone bother creating an aimbot for consoles.
they come with one build in.

The 30$ or 20$ you pay for the p2w dlc's with new weapons are not micro transactions :P
