nope not as of now we'll see though! but judging from the short impression recieved from beta, it doesn't look like I will regret it -- ever. I've spent alot more on other things that came out far worse than what this game has all ready proven to be in its short time. In fact, might very be the best 100 dollars I've spent. And supporting sandbox and new style on the MMORPG genre should be commended. One thing I do regret is spending money on preordering Battlefront and Star Wars the Old Republic with their same old same old!
The better question to ask,is what are players doing???I bet the same old same old with a new skin, hardly worth spending any money on if you ask me,but nobody is asking :P
If the game actually offered some new perspective to make the genre exciting again like it was the first time we played these designs, now it is always the same and that is just too boring now, like wearing an old shirt or old pair of shoes lol.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

You are getting older so that new perspoective is never going to be there again. That genre exciting feeling is what you got when you first experienced the genre and its something that will never reappear until a new genre comes along.
Its just like most people that experienced Ultima Online got that feeling when it first came out and the genre was new. But things sense then just do not stand up and offer that feeling. It's that new car smell that lasts for abit and then is gone.
So if you are just waiting for that feeling then you will forever be waiting if you do not look else where.
As far as the $100 purchase goes I do not regret mine at all. The closed beta's offered enough content and feel that I will easily exceed $100 of enjoyment and gameplay out of it.
I kind of regret not having bought it. But then, it gives me some distance to see how this all turns out.
There was a time for me when i couldn't miss the start of a new mmorpg and found releases to be very exciting. The countdown, the personal preparations, hanging with like-minded friends on VoIP, "are servers up?", "i am in!!" and such.
Too bad that all this went away over time and with the many horrible launches.
I got the 50 dollar pack. I was on the fence for conq pack because I missed the CBT (so have no basis for a judgement on the game) and then I saw the cash shop prices for costumes, pets and inventory, bank, carry weight etc..Decided against conq pack and still considering canceling my pre-order completely.
I may just keep it and see how far that will take me until I quit or they get back to reality on those cash shop prices. I'm sure ppl will throw cash at them, however so I won't hold my breath. It amazes me how much money some will spend on something so stupid but I guess that's what these game companies are exploiting these days.
Yes. Yes, I'm very disappointed that the game that hasn't even been released yet has already managed to disappoint me! /sarcasm
So disappointed that I'm anxiously counting down the hours to the headstart! Just a little over 9 hours to go now, yay!!!! :chuffed:

I am. Was hoping to spend 250+ for a game of this caliber but i guess i will spend the 100$ even if i have to Associate with the middle class type people.
Anyone who regrets a pre-order should just stop pre-ordering. It's obvious you can't afford to invest in games before you actually play them. I've pre-ordered many games and for $100, I already know I'll get my money's worth out of BDO and then some. This thread sounds like yet another attempt at trolling BDO to be completely honest.
What does regretting a pre-order have to do with affording to "invest" in a game? Are you seriously saying that anyone who can afford to pre-order a game has to automatically love the game regardless of what they do? That's one of the most asinine things I have heard.
Comments
I mean if people pre-ordered seems to me they didn't really care about the prices anyway?
Even though I already see "I quit" posts all over the official forums because of it
Like anyone is forcing those peeps to buy a costume off the shop...
To answer your question though Nope
This at least promises to be new and refreshing

Besides backing kickstarters, haven't paid for a mmo in over 3 years so my typical $15+ a month has a lot to catch up on.
9 hours and 38 minutes to go.
PS - All mammals have nipples.
Get over it already.
