Where are the cool people playing

what non-asian MMOs are the cool people all playing right now yo, I was thinking about resubbing to WoW . I sort of want pvp, sandbox, pve but I find pvp in most places unpleasantly kicks my ass.

    All the cool people I know are playing Stardew Valley this week, but it's not an MMO, and was inspired by an Asian series of games.
    I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

    I was tempted to play DBZ online till i found out its not there.

    The problem is that most developers think it's cool to have a cash shop that sells in-game currency.

    I think the cash shop is more likely to kick your ass these days, rather than the PvP.

    Ironically, the self-believed "cool" people of yesteryear play nerdier games than the video gamers and such these days.

    Fantasy football, mobile games, etc.

    I remember some guy saying once that "Fantasy football is just D&D for jocks".  That's a saying that stuck with me because of how accurate it was.

    They have indeed changed for many.  Look and the top grossing movies.  Once Hollywood embraced the Cons it all swapped to nerds/geeks are cool.

    Then you'll lose it all because it's a full loot system.

    Well, Eve is definitely the most niche game there is.  It's like a niche of a niche, and most people don't care for it. But, I really don't think the reason has much to do with their cash shop, to be fair.
