Portalarium has published the latest newsletter that has some information about the development behind several locations in the game: Brittany, capital of Novia, Skrekk and Shores of Malice. In addition to that, the newsletter details a fan created PvP/Entertainment event called Sandillox Wrestling Federation and St. Patrick's day Pre-party in the city of Owl's head.

    I don't quite understand why their UI looks so horrible after such a long time.
    Is their 2D designer visually impared?

    - There is a usual hierarchy to things, and UI doesn't exactly sit at its top.
    - If the people spending yearly incomes on non-existent candy don't complain, why should they fix it?

    It's soft releasing in July. That's the last wipe.

    That's actually quite accurate. But I'd also add:

    - Many are afraid to complain otherwise get beaten up by the rabid blind fanboys for saying anything even remotely negative.
    - Many have given up complaining because it's clear the devs only care about keeping their whales fed

    It's code for: our whales are complaining that they're tired of beta testing and want us to release the code as-is because they don't care about anything but decorating their homes and having dance parties. And they certainly don't care about quality, but that's ok because neither do the devs. Their #1 priority is feeding the whales.
