but if you are leveling you will probably find the game very quiet loads of people have already left i stuck it out for 8 days the population was too low for the game.
What game are you comparing it to? most games have low medium population anymore, unless you compare it to WoW. I don't play ASTA, but it looks and sounds better than most garbage i've seen lately.
So it's not just me that thinks MMOs today don't have as many players as they did three-five years ago?
Part of the reason is that there has been little to no innovation in these games for quite some time. In fact they continue to dumb them down to a point where there aren't worth investing any time into. Just look at this game from a macro point of view.. first glance I see what.. 5 or so classes? In the old days MMORPGs were released with 20 to 40 classes.. you had great variety etc. Now, it's just to boring to play these games.
"Look, there is another Warrior.. it's just like my Warrior.. which is just like the 50 other Warriors I've seen in the past hour.. all wearing the same gear! What a bore."
Point is. A glassdoor posting from some random person should not influence what you play. That is just silly talk.
I don't know anything about these games i haven't played them maybe someone else who has can explain or maybe you can explain yourself sorry you didn't even say which department these reviewers are from the one i posted is from the office in charge of the EU/US servers of Asta and is only 10 days old and i imagine there is less people there than there is at some of these places.
can someone do the compariance from Webzen, Bioware, CCP and Ubisoft or would everyone say they are ran the same ?

Please just let it go. You made whatever point you were trying to make. Leave it be and be happy that you have done your duty to inform gamers the world over that ASTA is not worth their time. Well done and kudos to you
Actually you know i enjoyed the game i am just warning people about Webzen.
This is how they are treating the game now i said they had one gold seller spamming and i don't think people believed me and it was always the same name and it seems someone else has noticed and that thread hasn't been replied to yet but it was posted 13 hours ago and i mean someone official.
Oh and when there is gold sellers there is gold buyers and lots of gold means lots of stats because the stat enhance system and the divine spirit system use gold.
I am finding myself almost enjoying it as much as I did when I started playing Vanilla WoW.
It's kind of funny you said that because as I played it in beta all I could think was this is basically WoW with an eastern culture paint job. I was hoping for another Age of Wushu not run by a pack of greedy morons but it's really only eastern in theme. Good game, solid play just... not what I was looking for.
It's not worth reviewing if you ask me you can tell Webzen have gotten this game cheap it wasn't even developed for them and people are reporting it was a big flop in the East i don't know much about that but i enjoyed what it had to offer.
The only problem is the servers with just end up like the 3 gpoato games they have on life support if you don't know which ones i mean C9, Rapplez and Flyff are the ones i am talking about.
People say there is level 60 content as the content at the moment it goes to 50 so i expect one expasion then that will be it will either close or just stay open and not get updated.
They delayed open beta but you can tell they are understaffed the game was still rushed or say not worked on.
So i did a bit of digging around the internet and found a glassdoor review which is very recent and come from the office in charge of the servers of Asta EU/NA actually i think that office is in charge of all th egames Webzen have in the west because the review describes the games Webzen have in the west perfectly.
I have already posted this in another thread the glassdoor review seems spot on and the link below shows they started getting losses after the gpotato sale they bought gpoatato really cheap seems they like buying things cheap it cost them $ 17.5 million it's some where on the net all this searching took minutes.
The only thing is lack of information about Asta that also should be a warning the original server apparently went into open beta in october 2013.
News Flash: Every MMORPG out there atm is a scam or trash to play these days but this one is actually fun and has elements of classic MMORPG's and a nice mix of both old and new features in the genre, it rolls everything up in a very nice package.
Sure it may have elements some people don't like, but what MMORPG doesn't. At least this game offers more of a classic MMORPG expecrience than most of the other trash out there atm in a very vanilla way.
I've been playing up to level 21 today, and while I'm a little afraid about the lifespan of this game I do find it a somewhat competent Themepark MMO, yes it has its flaws and it's certainly based on an aging concept, but it does what it does relatively well.
Time will tell if it will last, and whether or not a solid playerbase will be built around it. But right now, it just seems to lack players.
I went in expecting nothing when I read about it here this morning, but because I was bored I figured I would give it a shot. And while I am not blown away, I am pleasantly surprised that this game works relatively well. I've played far worse imports that felt off, had poor timing or just didn't work at all. This one at the very least has so far kept me busy for the past 10 hours, will I keep playing it? Who knows what tomorrow brings, I have a massive backlog of games to play. But I might, it's free and not a horrible game to kill some time with.
I don't know why people don't complain more then maybe people might get a better service than living in a bubble and just saying wait and the game will get better.
There isn't enough people to support future developement of Asta and i doubt it will the way Webzen are handling the game but people will still say it's in open beta.
I had the same when i was at gpotato i was in a guild and i was paying a sub for Allods Online the whole guild i was in got banned and apparently some where warned befpore the ban came i wasn't.
I contacted support to explain i didn't have anything to do with it and to check my account the guild i was in most of them spoke Russian and i don't even speak a word of Russian but trying to convince them that was like trying to convince an idiot they are not an idiot. lol
So after a while they came back said we was banned for a week i said why can't you unban me and they said they wouldn't, they wasn't even going to give any compensation so i turned around and gave them the middle finger and walked away btw don't forget i was paying Sub.
I think Webzen have kept some of gpotato staff as well because if you look at Layfando they joined Webzen at the time when they bought gpotato and that name has been bugging me ever since i started playing Asta if it's who i think it is then goodluck.
Btw when i chat to suppoort i am always polite and patient so don't go thinking i am some crazy person i know i have posted a lot but that is only because some seem so in denial about the future of Asta.
Come on you could at least give me an A for effort and Riders Of Icarus is coming out soon. lol
