No one cares if you buy MOBAs. I don't buy racing games. They don't make racing games for me - they make them for the people who buy racing games. That's how the gaming market works.
Lol i know, i never could get into that kind of game at all also. Even if at first they are fun after a few hours you can see very fast that all you will keep doing in this game is click left and right , and click left and right and did i mention click left and right. rofllllllllllll
Edit : The type of game is very good for the one's that likes them but not for me. Like i mention earlier clicking all over a map is not my type of game

I moved from mmo's to Mobas because: A. I like balanced fights, B. I like arena style fights and C. I don't have the time any longer to sit around grinding just so I can pvp in a mmo, when lets be honest most MMO's pvp is unbalanced or zergish or both.
If you like fair skill based pvp then MOBA's are good choice. MMORPG's pvp is usually unfair and gear based.
Smite is a great example of this. Specially with their arena mode. Anyone who loves MMO pvp should try Smite at least once. Plus you don't have to pay for it either since it's f2p. But aren't most, if not all MOBAs?
LoL makes more money than WoW. Thats why game companies make more and more MOBAs. Its a trend. It has its place but much like WoW clones have slowed down, MOBAs production will slow down one day.

I see them as a faster pace, smaller scale Warcraft or Starcraft type strategy/battle game. I can see the allure, but I don't like the gameplay.
There was a game in development that was about forming groups and picking a class of Aliens vs. Humans and that seemed like an FPS-type knock off of MOBAs (similar to Evolve, but not the same). It looked really fun when I watched some video of it.
I'm not a huge MOBA fan but Riot deserves a medal for making the greatest 100% free game to date. It's so good in fact that any MOBA that tries to release as P2P is doomed from the start. League of Legends also has the least greedy payment model every conceived and yet makes the most money. If that doesn't spell success I don't know what does.
I think MOBA's are boring, but its obvious that a good many people enjoy playing them, i just see them as appealing to a different demographic than those who play MMO's, its not like they are in competition with each other either, its a bit like saying, because i only like Pizza they should stop people buying Taco's or something, though not entirely sure what a taco is either

DotA2 gives you every character for free, doesn't require you to grind out runes, and even lets you earn skins in game.
It is actually impossible for a moba to have a more generous business model than DotA2. How is League of Legends' model, in which characters cost upwards of 2 weeks of grinding matches or roughly $8.00 each even conceivably in the same league?
But i know people that prefer the instant action of MOBA´s or First person shooters.
The one thing that keeps me wondering is why people see a relationship btween MMO´s and MOBA´s? The genre's are as far frome achother as MMORPG's, first person shooters and RTS games...

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
Not something I'm interested in however.

You don't like it .. does not mean that others don't.
In fact, i don't play sandbox MMOs, do you see devs stop making those because of me?
Hmm O.o

Wonder if it's coming out on PS4 anytime soon.
I've tried to play 3 different ones, I was bored out of my mind in under a week.
