    I'd play a modified version of vanilla. Bring back trees, let hunters dual wield. Don't make me grind a week to get enough coin for a mount - egads that was horrible. And keep flight.

    Unfortunately I had to vote no.  I played shortly after it released and even then I had difficulty getting in to the game.  I soon got bored of the carrot on a stick gameplay.

    I hope for the fans of vanilla that Blizzard will release a server to meet their needs.  I may not have appreciated it but I know many of you do.

    Bah!  You can't have it both ways.  Having to earn rewards and no flight is part of the original WoW.  If you don't want that, then you don't want the original.

    and this part of the problem , but you miss the point ... enjoy ,ill just watch ...................where does it end ...

    I would have considered it before I saw that mouthy douche at blizzcon tell everyone what they want, or rather, what they should want.

    Its people like him that have driven this genre so far into the ground it would take a miracle to resurrect it.

    I would sign up for 6 months, or so.  I'd go longer if they did  a progression server, such as what SOE/DB did with EQ.

    I guarantee if the guy that asked that question at blizzcon responded with "How would you know what we want? it's not this." and threw his new expansion box on the ground along with he swag from the convention and walked out and it was on camera. Things would change.

    That would be sick.

      well i suppose if you see it that way , But, i have been, as  i said , an investor in Blizz , for many years to the weight  of............well ill keep that to myself .. to many 0s ... So if you think that i shouldnt have an opinion(because i dont Play) ... Thats pretty ironic to me , my opinion carries more weight than wanting to so badly kill pigs and wolves ..   aint that rich :)

    After recent events, no, I don't feel the love from Blizzard right now and I don't want to give them any of my money.

    Well, if what I see in Legion is what's going to go live, you may want to consider new investments ...
    lol...you see , you think to small .. like Legion and Wow is all that .. ATVI is ...you just worry about the orcs and elves , ill mind my investments .....

    Hey, that sounds good to me.  See you on those legacy WoW servers next year. :)
    hmm Listen , if they do it .. Good for all those that want it , but like i said , i dont see them enteraining it in any way , till well after Legion and they collect all there data(18months ,+/-) .. And keep this in mind if they do , and it does as well as you hope , you are putting money in my pocket ...:)

    While I understand the appeal of returning to older mechanics... 

    playing those mechanics in a game with extremely dated graphics that I already explored to death 10 years ago that is static and never going to change doesn't seem like a replacement for a real game.

    Granted with the number of oldschool private servers around for various games clearly not everyone shares my opinion.

    Of course not.

    No LFD ... forced pvp in some zones ... no fast travel to dungeons .... won't touch with a ten foot pole.

    You literally can not pay me enough to ever consider going to a "vanilla" server. 

    There are ofc other reasons too... But that will do.

    Bored of carrot on a stick gameplay... continues to play carrot on a stick gameplay but clearly oblivious to this fact.

    I voted yes because I hope you guys get a vanilla server.

    I really like watching when nostalgic memories meet the harshness of fiscal and temporal realities.

    'Sandbox MMO' is a PTSD trigger word for anyone who has the experience to know that anonymous players invariably use a 'sandbox' in the same manner a housecat does.


    When your head is stuck in the sand, your ass becomes the only recognizable part of you.


    No game is more fun than the one you can't play, and no game is more boring than one which you've become familiar.

    Since we're posting opinions, I'm going to go with no.  I loved vanilla WoW as flawed as it was, but at the same time it just wouldn't feel the same to me.  I've already experienced it, so there wouldn't be anything new or fresh.

    Plus I refuse to let nostalgia dictate my wallet, but that's just me.
