The game itself is brilliant, almost a next-gen type game. But......
The publisher in the NA/EU, Daum are just a small cowboy rip-off company who are milking it for all it's worth.
You could get lucky, many do and never have a problem playing the game, but even as I post this, the catalogue of unsatisfactory outcomes and decisions by Daum grows every day. From zero communication and general slimeiness like prioritizing customers who haven't paid yet over paying customers in order to grab the cash, to decisions like encouraging exploit guilds. This company is failing it's players big time.
There are *still* many Conqueror Pack customers (the $100 one from the start) who have not have their tickets resolved. There is still no response to Duam supplying a T3/T4 horse in the Conqueror pack and deliberately misrepresenting it as a T5 horse. There is still no response to all those on those on the EU servers who were honest and *did not* exploit the fishing, trading and training 300% bug... or just didn't know about it. Still no resolution of the ganking issue. Still no compensation for the pets debacle where early purchasers were shafted by buying early. Now the threads have become so common complaining about the length of time taken to deal with simple support tickets, they are closing the threads in the general forum. Even closing threads critical of Daum.
A thread entitles "Daum sells a product, not a service" (not by me) has just been closed. The title describes them perfectly. A quick money grab for your cash, then nothing.
I'm not saying avoid the game, just make sure you try it with guest passes first, because if you have a problem and hand over your $30, you have an above average chance of waving goodbye to weeks and weeks of your time. Remember, no refunds.
Such a shame this wonderful game ended up with such a clueless, disrespectful company publishing it.
What a load of Bullshit ....it's sad how low some folks go trying to pass opinion off as truth. LOL must have hit a sore spot at least you changed your title ....remember fact is stranger then fiction

You are kind of saying avoid the game. . your title is "don't buy it"
Aside from that I appreciate the heads up. A lot of people will defend a game because if they have not had the problem they don't think it exists. If only 5% are affected that is a lot but people will still argue that either it is not true or it is the players fault.
I think I will get something out of the game for the $30 regardless of needing support etc. Curious what others will say.

Yeah, that's a fair point. A better title would be "Make sure you try before you buy" . Changed.
I was thinking about trying this game. I have heard many people complaining about the same thing with the issues mentioned with the publisher and problems not being resolved or even addressed. Listening to other people on other forums, general reviews from others, and a gaming organization I play with, confirms for me the OP's position is a fair one and certainly not BS.
The game is fine. People complain about anything they perceive as inconvenience and try to bash the game. Are they slow on the customer support... sure, but I have seen far worse. I would rate it as average. I have submitted two tickets myself.. and both were resolved within 48 hours. The people that complain do not follow the right channels to voice their issue...
THE FORUMS ARE NOT THE MEDIUM TO VOICE CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES

You know they follow the wrong channels how exactly?
My experience is people resort to shaming on the forums when the "right channels" fail. Hence the proliferation of this on the Daum forums.
DON'T ASSUME BECAUSE YOU GOT DECENT SERVICE, ALL DO.

I disagree. Third party review sites are the perfect place to voice game issues. From the many reviews I have read, I've decided to save my money and far more importantly, my time.
I'll wait for a trial or if it ever goes f2p, since i don't have a lot of time to play anyway.
Many people seem to have mixed reviews about the game, which is probably a good thing. Some games are universally panned, but this one hasn't been so far.
The game is worth $30 easily - heck it's worth a lot more than that to me.
However if you run into a serious issue (like billing or rolled back character - which happens RARELY if you switch from your main to your alt- your main gets rolled back to your ALT's level) - you are screwed.
Example of Level 55 character getting reset to level 6 -
The reason why he posted it main forums is because that's the only way to get response from Daum - he was getting zero response on an EPIC failure.
Their CS is bogged down and lack the staff to properly support this game; and it's obvious. Hopefully they will get it sorted out soon because that can also kill a game.
"DON'T ASSUME BECAUSE YOU GOT DECENT SERVICE, ALL DO. "
Don't assume because you got lousy service, all do.

Dude, did you even read my OP? I explicitly say many are fine with the game and have no problems..
I bought it last week and been playing for a few days. The game does seem very well put together and has depth, but.................. I can't help but feel something is missing... It just doesn't seem to have any soul. May sound strange, but that's how it feels to me. Will persevere a while longer and see if it grows on me.
Another negative thread for a game that's been reviewed endlessly. I personally don't understand all the hatred towards this game but it is kinda amazing. Feels like were bashing a Trion game at times lol
Try before you buy, for games where you can do that, is never bad advice. You could have stopped there.

"Try before you buy" is what I do for all games now, no matter how hyped up I am for the game. I did it with Blade & Soul, and Black Desert Online. I did NOT do that for RIFT and Guild Wars II, both games I did not even level a character into the twenties. Nothing wrong with those four games, but they are not my cup of tea. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have lots of fun with all of them, but I did not like any of them.
I will never, ever, buy another game without trying it first, either in beta, a free trial, or jumping into F2P.
And a game that does not offer any of these choices, well, I guess I will never play them.
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!
Me too. I just can't play the game. A couple of times I've been able to stay online for a few hours but I get randomly kicked, sometimes after only a few seconds and logging back in takes ages because when I get kicked, the client's authorisation expires as well resulting in having to restart the thing. And then you have that 10 minute period where you can't trade after logging in and the inevitable death in combat from being kicked. It's too frustrating by far.
Tried both the NA and EU servers. NA seems more stable but still nowhere near good enough for a game you actually have to pay to play.
Pity really because I've quite enjoyed the game when I've actually been able to play the thing. They had some good ideas and it looks great, if a bit dark. But all that's pointless if you can't stay logged in.
Not going to say don't play the game but it's definately one you'll want to try first. Get hold of a 7 day pass if you can.

When you get kicked does it take you to a screen where you have a message indicating you have been disconnected and you get a button with "ok - enter" and then below you have other buttons to log in?
Don't hit the "ok - enter" button. Use the buttons below and you get right back in to character select.

Thanks for the response That works occasionally, most of the time I get a message saying the authorization has expired and I have to go through the game startup, login, etc., all over again. I've decided to shelve the game for now, have other things to do that don't make me want to inflict bodily harm on my hapless mouse...

So what exactly what is it in my post that you think is "bullshit"?

Jeez, why can't people learn to read?
While I don't have the inclination to verify your 'facts', referencing a forum as proof doesn't lend much credibility.
