Honestly, I doubt I'll be playing BDO. The classes being tied to strict male and female genders is too annoying to me; Why should I have to be a female or male to play a class? That's more a business choice for games that are single player or arcade focused.

Ironic you say this as they announce a male and female class.
WOW !!!! Game with no true content bringing new Class !!!
There is only one class in BD anyways and it is mix of explorer/farmer/miner/trader and part time hero
I listene... watched, I mean watched ( ) the FTW during launch and the TOR part got my attention, so after that I checked their sites too, and yep, it will come on the 5th. There's only 1 chance per year, and they want to skip it with a one day delay? All those nifty May the 4th jokes? What kinda marketing dept. is there, seriously?

What's the big deal with classes being locked for gender. I've never in all my years of gaming wanted to play a hot chick being a badass. I love to see it and love when my wife plays one but even rpgs offline I've never felt the urge. It just blows my mind when guys say they want to play a chick.
I've heard a few players comment during SWG days that they played entertainers as females to get better tips. That just blows my mind and quite frankly freaks me out a little.
I want to play BDO, the game is deep and there isnt enough walk through to get me to understand the deeper aspects of the system, even the crafting systems do not offer a good understanding at lower levels. Asking in chat generates the usual trolls. I give it six months then I will try again, by then the trolls will have moved on to the next big thing.

By that logic I guess the only race you ever play in MMORPG is Human with gender being Male. So no Elves, Dwarves, etc. Does that 'mind blown' feeling trickle down to non-mmorpgs? Probably never played FF6 as you have to play as a female (Terra) in that for a bit. Probably haven't played Tomb Raider either. If it does. Valkyrie Profile 1/2, Telltales games Walking Dead, Mirrors Edge, Parasite Eve, Mertroid. Would probably all be games you never tried either.
Not to mention all the games you would be unable to complete. Because you eventually have to play as a female character for part of the game. Resident Evil 2 comes to mind.
In War - Victory. In Peace - Vigilance. In Death - Sacrifice.

Your argument has never, and will never, hold any water. There's a big difference between playing a fantastical race, something that no one has ever in reality done, and swapping to a gender not your own. It's not the same thing, it's not the same ballpark, it's not even the same sport.
For single player games, it is also different, your purpose is to fulfill a predetermined story, it isn't about you. MMOs, are about you, not your female side, not some written character, you.
So GW2 are making a Massive Multiplayer event Heart of Thorns into a solo friendly event? And people don't realise yet that MMO's are now solo games online?

They are making each class have 2 genders, some already do.
Graphics progression in the video: Amazing -> 1999.
Oh, and Icarus is one of the worst games to be localized in the last few years. Seriously; Vindictus is far far better and that came out in 2010. There is no reason to support, let alone play, Icarus, especially not with Black Desert available.

How many walkers have you killed?
How many people have you killed?
Nah, they're mad they can't find the perfect mmorpg that'll make them forget their miserable lives.

Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
