The only class I really wanted to play was the Blader (Samurai). But the game turned me off so much with several mechanics (just to be fair there is a lot I liked about the game too) and with the oppressive cash shop, especially the cost of costumes. I could sub to TWO games for the price of one costume, and the two games that I recently subbed to (ESO and DCUO) have GREAT costume options. Maybe appearance isn't something you are into, but I really enjoy putting together costumes and making unique looks. If there is anything keeping me from buying the game it is the fact that you are a clone of every other player in the game that can't afford costumes UNLESS you spend a pile of cash.
Not the kind of game I am into. If I have to spend more than $15 a month to personally enjoy a game it is not a game I will be playing.
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!
As much as I love BDO's combat. Yes, yes it matters. More classes to try, more fun ways to pvp, more options. I especially love the way PA handles the classes. You can tell they put alot of thought and love into them. Rumors are already circulating about a new class/race coming to kBDO before the year is out. (DarkElf/Longsword if I remember right) Plus the additions of Awakening Weapons. BDO is the real deal for me. Game is cutting into my Division, FF14, Tera, and TV series times.
In War - Victory. In Peace - Vigilance. In Death - Sacrifice.
It matters when they are adding the best class in the whole game
Which one of the two is that?
He's a Blader fan. The Blader (Musa) is more AOE-focused than the Plum (Maehwa.)

"Going forward..." Haha. This article is a joke, and so is the writer's.
You think that Musa & Maehwa are ok. And I assume you think the next release to NA, Ninja & Kunoichi are ok too, right?! And you cannot suggest that they are not ok, because the fact that you have already known about them and they are already released in other region. So what class or classes do you "know" are not ok to release in the future for BDO that you know would not be ok? You don't. And you are full of contradiction.
I've been waiting on the Samurai to be introduced before really sinking into the game. I played enough to know that BDO is a good enough time killer, so I put it down till the class I really wanted came out.
As to the overall question - 'yes'. Since I am not much of a PvP or competitive PvE player, more classes add more diversity to the game world for me.
This game encourage's alt's. The more you have the more energy for crafting or node investment. With alt's doing quests they get plenty of contribution xp too. Main thing I like though is the armour and weapons, accessories have no level limit or bound so all your alt's can use the same armour, accessories. Weapons can be shared with classes that use the same weapons.
Nope because I think the game is boring and not fun... I just didn't like it at all, we need big budget cutting edge sandbox themed MMOs where everything is player/community driven.
More classes always matter. But it depends on the classes of course. I love Eq2 for its many classes and choices and also some classes and combinations in Rift, while on the other hand WoW's monk didn't do it for me at all..and much less the upcoming demon hunter.
It's great to see new stuff coming to BDO, but to me there is already enough melee going on, so i'm not too excited about getting more of it. But then i guess, Asians just can't live without their flashy, crazy spinning classes with huge weapons. These folks have yet to learn to embrace the power of ranged casters.
More classes always matter but would like to see Daum pause a good while after Ninja etc to address bugs and class balance... I have three characters at the moment and I STILL can't decide who to main and I've been in since Conq early access.
I will roll a Ninja when they arrive though to have a peek, and to hope to the 7 hells I don't drop my other 3 charatcers lol
I don't see why any game needs classes in the first place. Why not start with a blank slate generic character that you spend points on to build however you want to build it?
However, when they implement the Ninja - I might check it out again, since I already bought it. None of the other classes appeal to me, except the Ranger - but I don't play females.
I'd like to see more work done on stabilising the client and servers and sorting out some of the ludicrous translations. Half the time I didn't have a clue what I was looking for (since when has a large wooden structure in the middle of a field been called an amulet?)
New classes sound nice but when I can't stay connected long enough to enjoy them, it's just window dressing.
lunawisp was my peacebringer in City of Heroes. She lives on, in memory, as my gaming id
The one thing I like about BDO alt creation is your family is linked. So you don't have to do the nodes back over and you get the same energy as your main character. Also the best thing is the gear is not level based or class based so you can take the gear on your main character and put it on your alt and destroy mobs like a beast.

Yeah there are going to be a lot of +15 bladers running around tomorrow. I could do that too but I'm going to restrain myself to try to get a more realistic feel for the class.
Love your sig by the way

I will probably hit 55 on my tamer before kunoichi comes out. maybe, maybe not. I want to main kunoichi though. It will be easy as hell to level it to 50, when I swap all my tamer gear to it.

Since the Characters are linked together, more bag space.
