You can't just "remove IP block" it doesn't work like that PA licenses out the game to publishers. If there is a publisher in a region or in talks for a region they can't magically allow others to publish in those regions where agreements have been made without being in breach of contract.
No questions regarding moving the PvP level from 45 to 49.999 like KR or changing the flag quest to match? Next time ask about potential of PvE servers or channels please, that would be super Anyways, it all sounds good - great game but too much to do! lol..
PVE servers in a GVG PVP centric game? I'd ask are you high?, but 4/20 is over. The flag quest and level 50 would be nice for player choice a bit more but yeah no pve only bs is needed..
Bill, I think you should have asked DG/PA about what they propose to do for those ignored EU players in the Baltics, who are IP blocked from the EU servers and forced to play on the Russian servers in a language most of them don't understand.
They killed the most hyped MMORPG in over 5 years with their incompetence and inexperience. I've said my part enough over the months, I really don't want to repeat it again here.
Maybe they'll learn and the game will be better in a year. Or maybe nobody will care anymore. Probably the latter.

They have? How?
I've only been playing the trial but there seems to be gazillions of players on every server I've played on.
The game has actually impressed me a lot... there's so much to do.
This game has such high potential, I just hope they don't fuck it up.
I am still surprised how majority of NA/EU players are completely unaware of all the content stuff that was added in KR - I mean they are still FAR ahead of where we are in terms of updates. Valencia alone is a big update, but it has had major content updates itself (like dungeons).
So anyone wondering whether they F'd it up or not - just look at current Korean content - they are almost a year ahead of NA/EU
Considering it launched late 2013/2014 they should be at least a year ahead of us in content.
I am enjoying what we have so far & with the Musa/Meahwa class additions I am happily leveling another class.
Looking forward to the next installment and the naval battles!
So far Daum has done an outstanding job handling this title vs. Trion's failure with ArcheAge.... keep up the good work & transparency!
Every open world pvp mmo will have hacks. The question is will they the company that runs the game do anything about it. You can not stop it but you must contain it.
I have been told that BDO blocked players outside the US from playing on the US servers, and prevents the use of VPNs. Is this still being done? Any way to know if you will be affected beside actually purchasing the game?

VPN still works, but it's *very* slow. I wouldn't recommend it.
It's actually pretty easy to make sites *think* you are coming from a different locale. I use an IP bouncer every time I'm online. In fact, according to my app, this post will be coming from Finland, although I'm in the U.S.
The thing about what I use is that it randomly selects an identity. However, if I can't view a YouTube video or whatever, usually selecting "Get new Identity" from the bouncer menu a couple times does the trick.
Just search Google. There are a million bouncers out there for free. Or download TOR and search the "other" Internet.

It doesn't block players outside from playing on US servers, it just restricts it to certain regions. MOST of the EU can play on the US servers just fine for example, it's some specific countries that are blocked due to licensing issues. I think South America, the Ukraine, and some others. I know there's a list on their site somewhere in case you're interested in finding out if your country's one of the blocked ones.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
Buyer beware - this game is neither a sandbox nor particularly fun. The endgame is a single, unending grind, there is almost no cooperative or group play, and PvP is a spasmodic snoozefest dependent on who attacks first and spams potions the hardest.
Now they need to figure out how to let us spend money on their game again because currently it seems Daum is no longer allowing player to buy Daum Cash so we can get Pearls and spend money in the in game store.
I'm going on several days now w/o a response from Daum but apparently I guess they decided they no longer want people to spend money on their game...
Each answer was alon the lines - "we hear the concerns, we are not going to make any changes".
I wish Bill would have asked them about skill cooldown exploits and server desync issues .
The upcoming naval features sound like a straight Archeage ripoff which is awesome as naval combat / treasure diving in AA is amazing.
They will need to introduce ship to ship Collison otherwise the system will suck.
I am with you on this. I am not currently playing any mmo. I read this article to see if maybe I wanted BDO. The responses of the devs sounded more like politicians than anything else. They validated the question then purposefully did not respond either way to it. I think I am still going to have to give a pass. If we have devs who give political-speak answers because they do not want to be honest about things, be very afraid...

Yeah, while I'm excited about the new content these responses pretty tired and lacking of enthusiasm.

In the land of Predators, the lion does not fear the jackals...
Exactly WHY this is the case, I don't know. I still think it's stupid but these days I figure its the same as water being wet.
I recall trading my mats to a crafter in Lineage 2 for B grade boots. Unfortunately the craft didn't work.
Now, me being in a guild had nothing to do with my trading of the mats as we had no crafter at the time that could make them.
I gave my mats to a crafter two years or so later for my S grade staff.
If anything solo players are THE players to trade such items to get gear that they normally would not be able to craft themselves.
