I know it's the TERA ad but please for the love of God can you get an ad from them that is a more dull or dark color? If you're not going to let me block the background ads with my AdBlocker, then you NEED to make it less hard on the eyes or I'll just avoid visiting this site for the next few weeks until something better comes along. That color is just an assault on the eyes.

Maybe you should adjust the color balance of your monitor. Try something like reducing the blue light or reducing color temperature. Changing contract, sharpness and gamma might also help.
Also monitors are usually made so that default brightness is 50. If you've got brightness at 55 and white looks grey, are you sure you don't have some other monitor setting screwed up?
Edit: Took a look and the default brightness is 90. The color is also set to Standard, so no it's not the monitor.
Everything else looks perfectly fine and seeing as this is a work monitor and being that I work in marketing, I need to make sure our graphics and marketing materials look right, I am not changing anything.
Looks great to me. Not an eyesore.
