Why does this game have so many god damn defenders/white knights?

Check this out.

Lol how retarded do you have to be to do something like this? Do these morons not understand that even if someone beleives them, it just makes Daum look like shit for banning from the game but not the forum?

BDO has the worst white knight community I have ever seen. They are like ostriches that do nothing but bury their head in the sand while chanting "Everything is fine, everything is fine".

What would drive a retard to do something like this?

There is no such thing as so many. There are a vocal few.

People get too attached to a game.  They start to think that criticism of the game is criticism of themselves.  They start to tie their identity to the game.   It's not healthy, but it's becoming more and more common.

You should really work on expressing your opinion without the insults. Personally I enjoy the game, that is all I have to say to you.

Meh, I wont waste my time beyond that for a game that I cant play. Just to know maybe with population drop they might consider calling off IP block (and I finally can try this game for myself).

FTR proxies are just too laggy.

They already said they are hoping to let more countries in by the end of the year. So with a bit of luck, yours will be among them.

As for the dying. Typical hater rhetoric that they spout about every new MMO, while fervently praying they are right. Some people are just sad, sad creatures.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

I see tons of posts criticizing the game on a daily basis and there is plenty of bias on both sides.  What I don't understand is why games get so many people intent on trashing it at every opportunity.  You dislike the game, that's great.  What do you gain from attacking the people who enjoy it?  Constructive criticism is necessary, but posts like these are worse than even the most diehard "fanboy".

Guessing a few games would go F2P isn't the same as "always being right." People talk about games "dying" all of the time, yet few actually do.

Honestly I think it's more that people just get sick of hearing others whine and moan about every little issue that comes along (in regard to any game). I get sick of seeing people do it to the games I dislike as well. It seems like that's all people use the internet for anymore. It's also going on inside of most of the games.

Even in shooters you see people taking the time to whine about the game and it's players for the entire 30 minute match. It's just nonsensical... Go play something else is all I can think of to say at this point. I'm all whined out..

Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy (I'll be 40 soon)...

So, you cannot provide an answer.

Dead doesn't necessarily mean server is unplugged. I would consider having less players to play with, as each month goes by, that's dying in my book.

Maybe we arent white nights, maybe we just like a game and have a different opinion than you?

Also, why does it matter if we like the game and defend it? Everyone has to agree with you and dislike what you dislike?

Maybe, you are just a loser who thinks everyone who doesnt think like you sucks.

Whatever man, those of us still playing have people to play with, go find some other game that you enjoy that has a population. Better investment of your time.

I remember falling for this cash grab, I even called it before people started blatantly using hacks; just more of the same. White Knights actually get punished for speaking against corruption in many games from my personal experience. In the rest of them people simply don't listen and either way what you get is exactly this, a game with publishers that REFUSE to take care of themselves or their community. They force their players to make futile "reports" while promoting a fake "clean-up" initiative. It happens with every game nowadays (though most games don't even put this much effort into fooling their playerbase).

So to those who think about "white-knighting" it's useless to try to warn others about the inevitable wave of hackers, bots, DDOS attacks because no one will listen, and the people hosting said game won't make preparations to defend themselves (even though they should have before their game even launched).

Sorry going to "White Knight" here.

So....if a company releases a game, and you dont like the game and its direction.............it was a cash grab?

I think you just dont like it in its current state. So was it a cash grab for those of us who still enjoy it? I am missing how that logic works.

While everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is the kind of stuff we who enjoy the games hate. People post crap like "Cash Grab, P2W" and they drive new potential players away from the game.

If you hate the game, just quit and leave, stop trying to take the game down with your own dissapointment in it.

A game that doesn't prevent it's own destruction and opens an item shop of any kind is indeed a cash grab.
I quit 1 week after Mediah was released since I was already seeing hackers on a daily basis on both Orwen AND Edan. I've already explained that DAUM pushed the responsibility of policing their own game onto the playerbase. Since this thread was about White-knighting i only found it responsible; though unnecessary to inform people that PA+Daum both don't care. I never enjoyed this game because from day 1 I knew it would share the same fate as Archeage (which it did). An online game that doesn't take care of their players doesn't deserve to keep running.

Apparently you can't tell the difference between "white-knighting" and "fan-boying" and it really saddens me that such gamers exist. You can't even tell this game is only out to make money and are defending it. What you are is a fanboy; A white knight doesn't exist to defend a publisher or a game they try to ensure that they know when players are being used and try to encourage others toward a good experience regardless of what game they play. Also contrary belief; Not all white-knights are goody two-shoes.

    None, obviously.

If you're going to weigh in, you need to bring something more than calling others "hater", like you're some kind of female rapper from 2012.

I know what you're trying to do here. I don't come to this site enough, that I would even notice, if you pulled it off.

I didn't even say anything bad about this game. I read a lot of threads on the internet about people quitting. My conclusion is that it's already dying.

If history shows, hacker infested games die out.

I'm wasn't shocked by any of this at all. This is the new superior MMORPG era.

    lol

I don't even know what this game is about. I'm not welcomed in the new superior MMORPG era. I only made my conclusion from the many threads on many sites about people leaving.

Because this is what western community wants, a skyrim online without having to bother with other people playing, play at your own pace, enjoy to your heart's content.

No, that's what console gamers want. They want console games, but online because it's cool. There is no reason to play a single player game online.
