So are we not allowed to discuss anything LGBT because the subject hardly comes up but this thread got closed rather quickly ?

I must say i am very disappointed how some people can't see why there would be LGBT guilds, i think some people need to go and educate themselves on why people would want to be in a LGBT guild unless you just like being ignorant and think it's people just flaunting their sexuality.

They had to form communties to fight the prejudice they face just for being themselves, I would join as i would like to be able to talk about rupauls drag race without someone ewww guys in dresses i don't know many who watch the show but i think it's fun.

Its understandable to want a group for certain things inside of an activity that you enjoy doing, but you have to consider if the activity is more important than the people involved in it. If its not, then maybe you just dont enjoy the activity if you HAVE to have both.

I don't have a problem with discussing sexual preferences, but if they allowed that then they would have to allow Politics and Religion. Eventually it would be total chaos. Just imagine it if you can. I agree with this site not allowing it for that reason.

and how many of those guilds promote themselves by the sexual identity the players themselves share? I don't know many MMOs that allow you to make an actual trans character outside the one I am playing atm which I currently do play a trans character. Never have I felt the need to be in a team dedicated for that purpose cause there is a huge difference is discrimination that people like to cry about and being made fun of which will happen no matter who or what you are.

Seriously, you're a game player and that's all that matters here. Just leave it at that, nobody wants to know your sexual preference, what color you are, what sex you are etc

Fine then make a guild called that your not harming anyone one, it's not about people going i joined this guild so everyone can know their sexual preference again some people really need to educate themselves.

Documentaires they are great to watch they even made their own language in the UK when it was illegal to be homosexual.

They still face alot of discrimintaion worldwide it some states in the usa you can still get fired for being homosexual so that is why the LGBT form communties.

Again they weren't discussing sexual preference they were promoting a guild where other LGBT members might like to join.

My point was, this is a gaming forum. Nobody cares if you're gay, brown, green, 4 foot2, 7foot9 or whatever else. Talk about the games, if a guy randomly says such and such male characters has a nice ass nobody cares but why make gay issue topics on a gaming forum?

Anyway, why are you complaining? If they were just promoting their linkshell they still are, the post wasn't deleted. The point was to make gay people know the shell existed, now they do.

Lots of posts get closed for lots of reasons, they aren't oppressing you.

The thread was someone promoting a guild and it happened to be a LGBT guild and some people don't seem to be able to understand why there would be a LGBT guild.

Why should this even be a subject? Gamers come in all cultures, races and backrounds. This should not be a subject at all. Most gamers do not give a damn if some dude is playing a female character or vice versa. It does not matter!

I play LOTRO. I have 20 characters over 3 accounts. at least 1/3 are female toons. WTH does that have to do with LGBT! I am actually offended that you want to throw in that crap and make assertions. I play my characters the way I want to play them.

As a gamer in a mmo. Do I give a damn about sexuality in a mmo? NO! I would rather be bashing some orcs head in! I play mmo's to escape my stressful RL. As a gamer we do not need the above type of B.S in a game.

If your clan, guild, corp, kin is a LGBT inclusive group. WE DO NOT CARE! Why should it matter? That group is no more important than any other guild that exists.

I didn't say one group was more important than any other.

Exactly what does LGBT stand for(The definition)? Using LGBT represents a sexual preference. Just by reference only! I do not care if you are part of the LGBT community. One of my daughters is, so is her wife. As is a brother in-law.

Now exactly why do you need to mention that? You not confident? My daughter is confident. She does not care what people think. Unless you are expressing yourself to use gaming as a pick up spot. Then you are really in the wrong place. Both in and out of gaming.

Like I said above, it does not matter to us. But it does matter to you. That is what LGBT groups are for. So you can bring up LGBT subjects. To the rest of us. It does not matter, nor do we care. I recommend fully finding yourself. Because the gays I know are completely confident in what they do.

Think about this. No one here would know you were gay if you did not advertise it. Why did you advertise it on a gaming forum? I do not see others doing that. Rather they are talking subjects related to gaming.

There are many other places where you can A/S/L. I would not be surprised to see the OP locked or moved. Because really you are not talking about mmo's or gaming. But rather LGBT advertisement under the guise of LGBT group or guild.

This is enough on this subject.

I think you should go and read the original thread i posted the link in the oringinal post of this thread.

I only posted because all people could focus on was that it was an LGBT guild and that they couldn't understand why a LGBT guild would exist it's not about telling people you're gay, maybe it's about gaming with people who don't judge you for who you are.

Btw homophobia still exists.

I will just post this if anyone can be bothered to read it there is a ton of other shit i could find because there is a lot of homophobia but i think this wil do.
