Early Access Launch Day Arrives with New Trailer - Kings and Heroes News

With the Kings & Heroes Early Access launch officially ready for Steam later today, Industry Games is ready to entice fans to come in and try out the fantasy ARPG. To do so, a new trailer has been released a new trailer to show off the "seamless open world, procedurally generated dungeons, and persistent content".

    It is not an ARPG. It is a MORPG with FPS fantasy combat. 200 players capacity servers, open shared world and instanced procedural generate dungeons for 1-8 players. PvP implemented soon too.

    Really can't wait to try this one. Yeah, it's closer to an MMO than a lot of games on Steam that claim to be one, but Industry seems to be avoiding the term.

    Would love to see a DM feature like what they had with Sword Coast Legends. Could really add another layer to the game.

    For some reason they try to avoid calling it MMO. I think (sadly for our genre) they are afraid of bad rep.

    They are actually planning to have it. Also editor to make custom dungeons.

    But that is not all. What we see now is just first layer of the game. They plan to have castles, sieges, territory control (This is why they called it kings and heroes) Of course all this pass EA and release.

    But watching developer videos and their communication , one can only conclude we finally have a game developed for core gamer , by people that are passionate gamers themselves.

    I personally am super hyped about the game, since it brings at the moment everything that I like together : MMO, Roguelike dungeon crawling, Random loot, D&D, Skyrim like combat

    All EA games have grand "plans" - which means nothing at all, if the structure of the game doesn't clearly support it.

    I guess we'll know soon enough.

    I hate these types of first person action games, i always get a headache after like 30min of playing. If it was at least third person i would give it a try but now /meh

    It is and it isn't -- it clearly says it can be played single player and features action based combat. It's why I chose ARPG over MMO since they don't use it. They do use action combat. *shrugs* Semantics.

    Looks like a fun game though I can only take so much first person gaming. If only it had a 3rd person mode. It sort of renders that "robust character customization" thing useless.

    Looks really interesting. I'm going to wait until the first reviews come out. It says they will be selling a 4 pack. Hopefully at a good discount so we can get some group love going!

    They categorized the game as single player on steam (single player, co op) and got lot of flak both on forums and in live chats with dev. So they removed it.

    If you claim the game can be played single player. This fact stands for every game from WoW to EQ.
    However this game is online only , and on server shared with 200+ players. There are instances that support groups of 8.

    Except from player limit of 200 (in single shared shard) everything else is standard MMO fare.

    I'd also prefer 3rd person and the combat looks a bit clunky to me. I watched a few of their dev chats and most of their plans for the game seem realistic, which was refreshing. I'm sick of all these early access games promising infinitely more features than similar AAA games.

    Unfortunately their marketing seems lacking, the last stream I watched had like 30 viewers despite giving away steam gift cards... This game needs a decent population to be worth playing. I guess there is some potential so I'll probably just preorder it with that 10% discount.
