NO, No No, just leave it alone it is great the way it is, why do companies feel the need to ruin their product every five years or so, gamespot tried to do the same thing and it is a disaster
Very nice looking forward to the new site just hope mobile version works well as I use mmorpg.com mainly on smartphone.
It does! And definitely far better than the current one!
Does that mean, like many websites, that desktops with high resolution monitors will be mostly wasted space? You know, due to the mobile layout. I feel some websites are using the middle third of the screen the the rest is just useless.

playing an MMORPG?"
Will MMORPG.com crafting be relevant and better than pvp/pve gear or will it just be a time sink and chore? Will there be an Auction House? Will Guilds have bonuses? Will there be Housing? Land, Water and Air content? Will there be Voice Overs from name actors (celebs)? How many toons can one have per account? Will the site have Weather and Environmental consideration? Will Character Create be robust?
These things almost never turn out well. Hope this is less of a train wreck. I mostly use the mobile site anyway. As long as you don't mess that up too badly, I'll keep visiting.
Nice to see you're finally ready to roll. Good luck with the switch.

Will the new site have articles posted with titles indicating what game/subject they're about, or are you going to stick to the current clickbait failboat?
They already do that...the Feature section at the top has the game listed above the title in white, and the Latest News on the bottom left has the game title on the left in white. The Features section also goes further and notes whether it's a column, preview, review, editorial, game keys, etc. The site currently is clear in the information provided, it's just ugly and old.
Can that white background be changed to something darker by the user?
Yep. See the article.
Im sold!
I like that new design more than the current/tired one, but i was not sure about the white color. Dark is both easier on the eyes and easier on amoled mobile screens for battery saving.
Personally I like white better. Dark isn't easier on my eyes and it actually makes text kind of annoying to read. White text on dark background sucks. It's harder to focus on text done that way as opposed to black text on white background. For me at least it's less eye strain.

Looks like me adblocker will be working overtime to clean the mess up.
Edit: just checked my profile, 10 in October!
Every time one does a sweeping overhaul of a perfectly functioning UI, I ditch it. Why? I ask myself that all the time.
Regardless of personal dissatisfaction, it's no doubt going to have issues with certain browsers too, and one of those I currently use.
The site did need big improvements (mainly in the forum area; the software is pretty bad), but a sweeping overhaul of the UI wasn't one.
Oh well.
Just keep the black theme, and maybe I'll stick around.
Have fun

Boobs are LIFE, Boobs are LOVE, Boobs are JUSTICE, Boobs are mankind's HOPES and DREAMS. People who complain about boobs have lost their humanity.
Never mind, how many of your users blow right past the front page anyway?
