After three years, Lord of the Rings Online players had given up hope of ever getting another epic raid. But you know what they say, "Never say never."
My memory is really not what it used to be, but I'm pretty sure it was around this time last year people were posting that this game was shutting down at the beginning of 2016.
So it's great to see this news. Not related, but I wish they could afford to do a character model makeover like Blizzard did for WoW.
People have been saying that for YEARS.
Just google it.
The Doomsayers every November/December come out with that nonsense.

Yeah, really take what people say on the "interwebz" with a grain of salt. Especially because there are so many unhappy, bitter, people out there.
The people who were saying the game would shut down were those who knew that Turbine had to renew their license agreement and because the game wasn't the huge "smash success" then "of course they were going to shut it down".
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Yeah new character/npc/mob models and a combat change to something like Elder Scrolls Online and this just might become my main.
Actually the new raid is in the works for a while now, there were dev diaries about it, and I think they even showed some parts of it in a stream. (it was announced last year, with the 2016 plans).

One of my favourite Whiteberry pics about that topic, from 2014 (but that hobbit could easily add a couple more line of the same)
(and on a sidenote, Quad-pack is now on a sale for 10 bucks, that's a really good price for the expansions...)
They changed the servers hardware a couple of months ago. They planned to move the EU servers back to Europe, but they ditched that plan. Any news on that?

Nope, nothing else, that's a closed case now... they've said before the move that the new servers are so awesome everyone should be happy playing on it, and then worked for weeks on the issues so currently it's just barely worse than it was on the old servers lagspikes and stutters only at crowded places like during festivals, or at pvp. And with that, the EU move was swept under the rug, they don't speak about it anymore. It's up to your ISP and routing, some EU folks have a 10-20 msec lower ping now (but still above 100), others are above 200 now.
