imageUpdate 11 - By the Mother Goddess, It's Epic!

Time flies when you’re having fun right? Well, it feels like time has gone into light speed. Didn’t we just have The Dark Brotherhood DLC release? We’re already starting to see what is in the next update, aka Update 11. If you don’t believe me that this update is going to be huge, keep reading and if you want to test out everything you’ve read here and more, well, get on the PTS and start checking it out.

    I am almost max level on my alt then hitting the thieves guild/dark brotherhood DLCs. Hopefully by the end of them I am near 160 cp. I already have 124 on my main, so I should be I would think. Having fun so far, looking forward to One Tamriel

    Looks like a great update but until they make the lands useful to more than the target levels and introduce a sandbox land the game has too limited a scope to hold my attention. Beautiful game with a great interface and feel, but the sense that what you do has no meaning or effect is too pervasive.

    Actually what you claim is sandbox makes no sense at all.  High level creatures hang out together because they can survive together.  You put a bunch of cute little bunnies with a bunch of lions then well eventually the bunnies are gone and the lions is all you have left.  You should get over that sense when you believe your warrior is the strongest and should be able to walk anywhere without dying horribly.  

    Another reason your idea doesn't work at all is lets say they put every level range in every area.  That would give you only a small part of an entire area that is worth messing with.  Plus there's this thing called a story and some people actually want to participate.  I guess they could make it so zones were instanced and you entered it and everything was close to your level but then we would have 1000 threads about phasing again.
    Are you onto something or just on something?

    Very disappointing.
    The DLC is only 2 dungeons and some item sets. Not interested in dungeons.
    Veteran trials and arena -- not interested.
    Racial abilities -- uninspiring and unbalanced.
    PvP -- dont play it.
    Race/name change -- money,money,money.(especially combined with the changes in racial abilities)

    Anybody feels the DLC-part is worth the 1500 crowns compared to previous dlc s?

    To the author: please explain to me why tis is the best dlc EVAH?

    Don't buy it then. Although if you don't do PvP, don't do dungeons, don't basically do anything why the hell are you playing at all?

    Why do you play mmorpg's?  I think you hate everything that makes them mmorpg's.

    btw i pay a subscription

    and I have been playing mmos since 2000 (eq)

    Just getting on in years and not that interested in running dungeons back to back anymore.


    I just dont see the epic in the threadtitle

    Why do you play mmorpg's?  I think you hate everything that makes them mmorpg's.



    To harsh imo. And a decent question - why is it better than e.g. Orsinium. Especially as it does seem a little light.

    However the nice thing about DLC is that if you don't like it you don't have to buy it! And if fewer people buy it then the next one may be bigger - the reverse is true as well of course.

    There is nothing epic about any of it. Proves how sad the genre is looking if this can be called epic.

    Very happy with the aggressive schedule for new content. Very much enjoying this game.

    This is the weakest DLC to date, but I I blame the increased workload associated with the "One Tamriel" conversion.

    I'll skip this DLC, bought all the others, because they were definitely worth it. Hopefully the next DLC will be a bit more to my liking.

    Frankly. I'm having a hard time seeing the epicness of this coming update also.

    Not that it's a bad update but compared to the previous DLC updates, all of which had major, long-awaited features like a new zone in Orsinium, Imperial City, Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood, removal of veteran ranks, etc. and some of the upcoming ones with housing, removal of zone levels and separate alliances, spell crafting, etc., this one just feels like a filler to me releasing just to comply with their four times per year commitment.

    Lol, calm down for Christ sake... This whole article is about how he's got a massive hard on. Everything is AMAZING or GLORIOUS. Hardly. It's another run of the mill update which MMOs are MEANT to have.

    Rather disappointed that yet another item is being put behind a sub fee. Crafting bag is way too necessary not to sell on the crown store as it's own item and now the ability to dye your costumes is behind a paywall. You already have an extensive in game dying system for gear, so why not use that for costumes and make it free to use? People are already paying you for the costumes.

    This just feels like a BDO/TERA/name your greedy F2P of choice here slippery slope. Sure paying for race and name changes is fine and expected, but some of this other stuff I'm not crazy about. It's a B2P game with frequent DLC's that most of us pay for, so that really should be enough. I left the P2P and F2P games for a reason.

    Also have to agree with the others that this is just a very run of the mill update. It's not bad, certainly updates are always welcome. But they're not knocking it out of the ballpark here and considering how behind I am on the content I already have, I will not be spending on this anytime soon.

    I have a crafting bag and now all of my bank upgrades are pointless.  I do every craft and have a max of 10 items in my bank now and 0 alts. 

    You're being dramatic, I was doing just fine with no crafting bag.

    Adding race change and additional character customization: very nice.

    Trying to charge people for an update who's marquee features are things being added to the cash shop: not so nice.

    it may seem "light" but is there another MMO on the market releasing and updating content like ESO? personally when i play ESO i sub because i haven't bought any of the expansions so it's all good for me.

    i'm going to take a stab at the dark and assume they are not charging anyone for what you are mentioning. the added dungeons and stuff like that yeah but they also make changes in every update that is game wide, like the item shop stuff.

    Wow you should enter the Olympics! That was quite some distance you covered jumping to conclusions over the original post.
