  So, is the character creation the only good thing about this game? It seems there are so many complaints and articles about problems, but everyone sure thinks the character creation is cool.
  
  One major reason I haven't bought this game is the issue the people above me seem to be referencing: having to pay large sums of money for in-game items/customization. Really not a fan of that.

  so the only reason you are not playing is because of what you've read from forum posters - not the best way to make decisions really
  
  let's go around one more time with this - there is nothing you need from the cash shop unless you want to look prettier or are looking for convenience (more inventory space for example)
  
  that being said, have I paid real money to support the game I find so enjoyable - oh yeah - I like lots of inventory space - you get "plenty" of free spots from doing quests but I like MOAR
  
  lots of 7 day free trials out there - supposedly - give it a shot

  the ingame customization = 0 if u can bypass that the game its ok

  I thought all the outfits in the game were pretty dull and standard looking.....unless......Nahh, they wouldn't..........would they?

  This is the 1st mmo ive seen with 0 customization ... and sincerly i dont know why all the people praise this ...except the graphics it doesnt bring nothing new in the mmo genre .. well everyone must be happy about something

  I would rather play the game to get cool looking items. In fact if your just going to sell rewards for real cash I don't want to play your game.

  Clearly you either never played it, or you didn't bother with it.
  There's bunch of looks people have created that can be found on http://www.bdotemplates.com/
  A lot of famous characters, both fictional and real have been recreated with BDO's character creator.
  
  Now the in game looks... there you have a point. Aside from the cash shop costumes, the in game selection is pretty awful. They are working on it though, and some of the recently added (and more upcoming) customizations aren't half bad.
