Windward – Sandbox Fun on the High Seas - General News

The best way to describe Windward would be as a combination of Sid Meier’s Pirates! and a sort of sandbox MMO. You can play the game singleplayer or online with a bunch of other players and the game worlds are all procedurally generated at creation.

    I bought this maybe 6 months ago. It was interesting but seemed fairly simplistic.

    Maybe it's been developed further by now

    game is not that good imo ...    tedious, repitive ,mechanics... lol Sandbox with trail leading you to every mission like a glowy snake ... Horrible ...

                  just not very sandboxy feeling at all after you play it for 3 hours ... And you realize you have seen all it has to offer ..

       the Random loot is cool tho ......................... thats it ......

    It's a fun little game, but there really isn't much to it. Sail around doing missions and fighting other players or NPCs. That's it.

    I love pirate games. This one is not so good though. It is very simplistic and gets terribly grindy in single player after a couple hours. Multiplayer is fairly dead. Last I checked, maybe a handful of people.

    Hmm funny how the title claims this as being Sandbox when it's not even close to being such. Sandbox is not just some repeative simplist type of a game.

    How can you classify this game as a sandbox?  It is just an extremely simple game.  At least do a little research on a game before posting such nonsense.
