The Star Wars: The Old Republic site has been updated with the name and release window for the next expansion of the game. We know little else other than it is called Knights of the Eternal Throne and is scheduled for Fall of 2016. We will keep you posted as more is revealed.

    I hope that they get back to the more group-friendly story progression in this expansion. I loved SWTOR's story through Revan that could be shared with my partner in crime. We saw two different stories and were interested in each other's. After that...not so much.

    They need to better balance this one. KOTFE was good on story content for most part. But all the MMO bits were pretty much non-existent. Story was and is your strong point but that doesn't mean you abandon your MMO parts. I still can only give them half credit for story as the unified story that started with the first expansion. Went from decent to great individual class stories. To one story per faction, and even then the differences were minor between them.

    SWTOR needs:
    A return to class story - stop the unified story non-sense or add class stories that run parrallel to main story
    A new class - seriously SWTOR and AoC just jump out at me when I think of old MMOs with no new classes
    More group  content - flood the game with more dungeons and things to do as a group or duo
    Stop the Heroic Madness - Stop trying to get people to regrind old content, it is a crappy stall tactic
    Add new events - Or at the very least rework the old ones. They are stale, and boring.
    Review PvP - PvP needs some love. Get out of your comfort zone with it and do something new with it. Not just new maps but new forms of it. How about one with more players and vehicles?

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

    Who cares?
    I un-subbed and quit in the middle of it all.

    Once a month, get a 45 minute single player story quest update and call it an expansion?

    You didnt understand the joke... Lol

    He meant it's an update because swtor expansions are so small and insignificant, that they resemble an average patch. :p

    Yay! Five more hours of story content spread out over eight or nine months and labeled an 'expansion'. But you only get all of it if you stay subscribed for the entire time.

    If it's more of this alternate zakuul empire crap, then they might as well just take the Star Wars logo off of it and call it Generic Glowstick Game.

    Lol, great another "expansion" that they force you to buy just to be able to be max level, but it doesn't have any content. I'm passing this time, already fooled me last year.

    So man sour grapes :), glad to see they made it 5 years. Always good to get more content into a game.

    Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

    Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

    They never said all of our companions would come back during KotFE. My guess is several others will return during this new expansion, and probably still not all of them. What irks me the most is that it's the companions I actually give a damn about that they are holding back. >.<

    Either way, looking forward to seeing where they go with the new expansion. And if we'll get another fancy launch trailer to go with it, a la KotFE's. xD

    Still a terrible mmo that disappointed so many of us at launch. Yet, since I started looking at it as a single player/multiplayer rpg with decent story I don't mind sub'ing for 1 month per expansion.
