I've been following this game for a while, got the free key from mmorpg.com, all excited logged into my account says 7 days trial, spent ages downloading the game, try to log in and it says 'you don't have access to the game.'
Put in a ticket 10 hours later nothing, check their help section, nothing, ask in their forums, nothing.
Ok so I try and buy an Explorers pack at 49.99 Euros and it wont let me buy one, I tried twice...
Sod this.

Yeah it did cross my mind, because I am in the UK :surprised:
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Interesting, that would definitely explain it.
The replies are hilarious though.
or not playing the game as in my case...
Only real commentary is you guys trying to bash the game at any opportunity are getting really sad at this point.
Oh they got back to me, apparently the key I got yesterday from MMORPG.com yesterday, has expired, that was a quick 7 days...
I have played a lot of games from beta to ones that have been out for years and always try to be objective, but this one is so unpolished that a given key doesn't work, forums don't communicate issues and problems are not getting solved.
Why do I need to wait 2 days for a GM/Dev to tell me I need to use paypal instead of a credit card?
Bad business practices, clearly the keys were given to bring in new players, if the keys don't work people will go, sod it and find another game that actually works as it should.
Edit: Also I'm not a guy...
My Issues (100% opinion):
- I leveled too quickly, I was level 11 in <1 hr from just running in a straight line hitting mobs.
- Auto-walking to quests is lazy, sometimes counter-intuitive, and un-immersive (albeit optional)
- Questing is uninteresting and I found myself click-click-clicking through their counter-intuitive convos
- I tracked a few kill X <mob> quests, went to the marked locations to find 0 of that mob there, several times
- When I press escape (typical menu button) there are like 30 buttons to press (poor player experience design)
- The combat is very face-rolly/No challenge
- Level of Detail kept bugging out when I moved, so the whole world was constantly flickering.
- Animations are far too gaudy/over-exaggerated
- Gender locked classes
- Armor models are like Diablo - they have no appearance change until you reach X level of gear
- Work Experience or whatever it is called
Some things I liked (100% opinion)
- Skill advancement
- Combat combos using directional keys + input
- Character creation
- World Design
- Fog of War on map
Reading all the other comments about the game above, I will certainly say sod it and take my cash elsewhere, after all if they cant get the basics right the games not going to be worth my attention.
