Nice! Was never a fan of the homogenization of the archer classes way back when (if I'm remembering correctly). If they were ever able to do another graphics overhaul (-especially- to the UI), I'd be back in a heartbeat. I see an old game with much potential.

I wonder if one of the reasons this update will be released is to combat other DAoC private servers..

DAOC is still the best rvr/pvp out. I m not still subbed because it sucks.

It did not suck. Just became stale. I am resubbing for this after reading the pendragon patch notes, so many new abilities and class overhauls. Best 14year old game out there. :)

Good to see one of my favorite MMOS still going strong, I left the original EQ to play DAOC. Best PVP MMO I've ever played to this day. As someone else stated, if it were not for the dated UI I would plop down my 15 bucks to play again. Also good to see the MMO community we have these days didn't bully DAOC into going free to play. Good job Devs!! Looks to be some premium updates coming.

As a long time DAOC player from back in the Shrouded Isles days to present.. i say this John thornhill and his so-called devs have ruined this game. The continually boost the already over powered classes. BD's, Animists, Skalds, i seriously doubt that any of them have played more than 1 realm. This is by far the biggest nerf to albion yet again. they should change name to dark of midgard. i have cancelled my accounts. as have almost all of my guild.. The patch is simply another con to try to increase player numbers, but, they cannot keep the players they have. Supposed to be a balance patch yet they make the OP class's more powerful and those that need a boost get a nerf, like the scout class.

Why would anyone pay each month to be constantly shafted and abused by biased developers. Thornhill your a joke m8 the game needs an injection of a new unbiased team running it and a graphics update before I ever consider returning.

Seems interesting but from the posts here some of the current player base seems less entralled with the changes.

Maybe it depends whether a person perceives the changes as beneficial or harmful to their favorite class?

My solution to this over the years was to have a broad army of alts and play the ones currently in favor. ;)

Those that dominate this game are the high ranked RvR players, to continually change your char = you will always be owned by the higher realm ranked player! If you keep having to go to the bottom tear it maybe a good move to simply change your game to one which has a fairer system of play.

Go to YouTube: DAOC podcast, see how many of the elitists log into those class's which they do not even play simply to post negative feedback and keep those various class's (which they do not play)down. The developers at DAOC still have not realised that these elitist morons are the one's that over the years have destroyed this game. It isn't rocket science that a fairer distribution of abilities, damage, dps and cast speed = a happier player base. So why does DAOC boost class's that they know are well already overpowered?
