I heard TB wasn't happy at all, he rage-quit a livestream with 25K viewers of NMS. O.o It's overall a nasty release that the game will have to recover from, do what now.
Playing more for now for 3 hours in a row fine with the exception of the shuttering caused by sudden FPS drops but it didn't crash this time.
Probably optimized for certain types of hardware. I wonder if low and medium systems are having the problems.

I didn't have any crashing issues but I was having fps and stuttering issues. Changing to boarderless windowed and changing the fps to max fixed the low fps issue but I was still getting crazy stuttering. I turned off vsync and restarted the game and everything runs fine now. So for those with stuttering problems, try turning off vsync and see if it helps at all.
Have been watching a livestream of NMS, the guy has it running at 1440 on a 1080, with framerates varying between 11 when landing etc. and 70, seems to fluctuate a lot, looks like he had anti aliasing etc. disabled. I think i'll wait before buying this
I haven't really had any issues other than the multi-tool bug where it stops working and you log out and back in to get it working again. At first I did have a couple hick ups with trying to tab out and back in. But changed to windowed mode and all my issues have gone away as far as that goes.
Anyone got a fix on the the blurryness and low screen Hrz? For me it looks blurry and not very sharp, dosent even comes close to the screenshots, It's not 144Hrz at all I can see that clearly. I read somewhere It's locked at 60 Hrz is that true?
- Change max FPS setting from 30 to Max - Set VSync to OFF - Change default resolution 1920x1080 to your monitor's native resolution (in my case 2560x1440) - Set Anisotrophic Filtering from 4 to 16 - Turn off Anti-Aliasing (removed any last stutter completely for me)
I have a GTX770 and can now easily set the following too: - Generation detail to High - Reflection detail to High - Texture detail to High

Game now runs flawlessly for me on PC!
Using my pc spec in sig below and no crashes or fps issues all day, like you running at 1920x1080p with vsync off and fps set to max.
Really enjoying the game so far.

I'm usually somewhere between 50-80FPS.. Running a 970.. I do get hitching though. It's noticeable. Oddly, I get a massive framerate drop randomly. I haven't really pinned down what makes it happen, but I won't be able to fix it without restarting the game. Everything just chugs at 5FPSish.
This game needs HOTAS support. It also needs to allow for keyboard and controller remapping of ALL buttons and ALL functions in the game. Found the FPV to be a bit weak, and weird that you keep putting your weapon away. HUD elements vanish for your weapons, so you forget.
Game has a long way to go in order to make the PC crowd happy. That's for sure.
I'm running it on high with i5 RX 480 8gb 16gb DDR3. I always have steam overlay off as it has caused problems with other games maybe try switching it off. All drivers are up to date.
runs fine for me. 40+fps on mostly high with AA turned off and AF set to 4. vsync off and max fps. i have a 3.4ghz amd quad core and a gtx 660. definately not a high end pc. also it hasnt crashed once

NMS is enjoying a steam rating in the low 50%s currently.
Northing but start up crashes for me. SSE4 issues apparently. Of the six people I know who got NMS, only one can play it right now.
Bad launch, but the test will be whether they can fix it soon enough.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

He should avoid those comments though, it's easy enough to flame an angry mob of people.
