Make sure you have lots of free disk,20 gig should be about right.
Lots of time as well. I have 2mb connection and it has still taken
a very long time. Its a good job my ISP doesn't limit dowloads.
This game better be something spectacular to require a 9 gig install.

Can you buy the game to download only (ie. no hard copy shipped)?

No I pre-ordered which gives me access to open beta.
But you have to download the client and its big.
It's a 2 gig download and the installer doesn't resume but starts all over if the download is interrupted, which really sucks--I mean, what gamer can dedicate their connection to a game download for 20 hours or more? I know I can't.
Has anyone managed to download using a download manager instead of the installer?

The first file of the download is 2gig there are more to follow.
Yes I did get it all but it took a long time and even then the patches are large as well.
