I really doubt this game will feel like a finished game in just one month from the current state. Betas 1month from release that I've played have all essentially been the complete game as on release with some added optimization/bug fixes. This game is still missing a lot and got quite a few placeholder things.

We backed the game because we were promised an open world in the WH40K universe.

What we're getting is a half finished, half assed lobby shooter.

As much as I want to play a game based on the 40k Universe that has this type of combat, I'm incredibly unimpressed with that trailer.

It looks worse than Dawn of War 1, especially in the animation department.  Those space marines are running around like they're wearing helium balloon armor, not heavy adamantium and plasteel encased in ceramite plates.  The movements are floaty and jerky and looks like the animation is skipping frames when they do things like swing a sword.

The tank looks like it's sliding around as the tracks are moving at a different speed than the vehicle.

Not only that, but the voice files are, no shit, recycled from DoW 1&2.  Not even joking, they didn't record new voice content.

Yet another game that promised massive open world pvp and delivered a boiler plate instance shooter. It's Firefall with the warhammer theme painted over it at best. This is why I don't crowd fund or early access too far in advance.

    Wow. I was right.

    Game is DOA.

    Figures.

From closed alpha to release in a month? This isn't even the game we were promised. In its current state, this is a 2 faction lobby shooter.

IDk really, looks decent enough but jet packs tend to turn me right off,i hate any sort of flying around in my games.
What flying does is totally ruin maps and map designs,it just allows players to go anywhere freely with no effort or thought.
That is what made UT99 so great as a fps pvp game, you had to earn your spot or strong point on a map.Map movement and skill should be a major part of any fps game and not just there as a backdrop or for looks.

The game is NOWHERE near ready for release, this coming from someone who has had access since day one of alpha through every phase upto the present.

It has serious balance issues, mainly due to an inherently flawed game design where melee classes are dramatically superior to ranged classes.

Ranged classes have no way to create distance and move very slowly.

Melee can two/three shot a ranged opponent with power axes, one shot with a power fist, and have access to jump packs for unmatched mobility allowing them to effectively hit-and-run with absolutely no way to counter.

A good melee player will outperform a good ranged player every single time, there is no competitive aspect to the game at all, and no potential for any due to the flawed design (which would effectively require a ground-up rework of the entire game to correct).

Engine performance is sketchy at best, and often plummets after any major update is released. It has been a back and forth war for the last five months while they fix the issues with one update and then make them worse with the next. As a reference, I run an i7 based system that exceeds the recs for the game by a monstrous margin, and still have issues getting stable framerates when any type of mid-large scale engagement is taking place.

Not real pleased to see this news, they are making a serious error by releasing the game in it's current state and Nathan Richardsson knows it - another rushed to market title that will be buried before it ever had the chance to realize it's original vision. Such a shame.

Why can't any AAA studios get the 40K license? I'd really like to see a proper 40K online title, made by a studio that is actually capable of doing it right.

    Another one bites the dust.

    4 factions actually.

    - Space Marines are in.
    - Chaos are in.
    - Eldar are in.
    - Orks are in.

You seem to be basing your statement off of old info, but regardless of that the game is definitely nowhere near ready for launch.

They are releasing trash. Not really anymore to say than that...details are just a waste of breath and tiring to keep saying over and over again.
