I might pick it up around black friday if I can get it for $5 or $10. I actually got WoD free, logged in and just didn't have the motivation to play lol.
I think it is good that they are waiting to review the expansion. I remember when WoD came out, people were raving about it, saying how awesome it was, then a few weeks in or so, suddenly it was the worst expansion ever.

EXCUSE ME??? IT IS RELEASED AND THEY ARE CHARGING MONEY FOR IT. REVIEW AND SCORE IT NOW AS YOU CLAIM IS YOUR POLICY. OTHERWISE YOU LOOK TWO FACED.
We honestly can't just longevity in a few days time. It's similar to how we take 3-6 weeks to review other MMOs. But instead of doing a multi week Review in Progress - Suzie's doing an initial "play it or wait" review of the expansion, and then a few weeks down the line will assign a score. Same process, less articles.

Spoke to a guy who was 110 already at 10 in the morning. Asked him why he even bothered to play since he basically just ignored the entire expansion. Stupid is as stupid does.
Many people are playing that hate questing and being ordered around by npc's in a supposed virtual world. Im playing because the bdo devs lost their minds and I like my guild and have fun in dungeons and raids with them. Im def not playing for a dev written story and kill collect linear questing.
Massive Offtopic rant: The gutting they have given my shaman and warlock are remarkable. Bye shocks, almost all totems, 90% of the cc, the buffs and debuffs. Im left with one cc spell and a bunch of boring ass dps abilities. The warlocks has nothing but dps abilities and a cc or two. No buffs or debuffs to speak of. Complete horsebleep.
And with only dps spam button mashing the tactics are totally gone solo. Trash loot in dungeons were nerfed to the ground at some between cata and now. Any thoughts of solo or duo rewarding challenge are gone. So yeah great time to play all of you...lol. This archaic game gives me a new appreciation for newer games especially bdo.
Double Edit: Tamanous post below nails many of the problems.
I actually returned to WoW a month ago for the first time since hitting level 85 after Cataclysm launched, so since I have all of Pandaria and Draenor to check out, I didn't feel the need to pay for Legion just yet. I'm having a pretty good time...it was overwhelming returning to a game long after moving on and having to deal with rebuilding your specs/talents and cleaning out an inventory full of outdated stuff, but WoW was my on-again-off-again game of choice from its 2004 vanilla release (or beta, even) until 2010, so there's a lot of nostalgia there.
The essence of the game stayed the same despite all the changes.
It is still a rush to level, instance queue, phased world mess. Combat is a mash fest of locked in rotations because raiders have driven class design for years now instead of dynamic small group pve and pvp. Classes have unlimited resources and share most abilities in function. There is no player economy which is now nearly entirely based upon transmog looks with prices hyper inflated because the game supports legal gold buying.
Wow is a fucking joke of an mmo. It is the mmo Walmart with the matching customer base operating at the lowest common denominator. There is ZERO resemblance to what vanilla Wow was about. It is a reminder of what has destroyed the mmorpg industry.
I was intrigued enough to test the changes to update and educate myself on the subject. I now must remove the vomit from my lungs and stay far away from the current crop of mmos. May the light shine on those indie developers trying to resurrect this dead genre.
Actually now that i'm doing some solo leveling it does feel like doing a raid with one person instead of doing solo pve content if that makes any sense. It's like they took the raid mechanics and put them everywhere.

I hope everyone currently playing is enjoy themselves. I'll give it a try in a few days. I tried login on earlier today and was in a 2700 something queue.

Yeah, solo land can get real dangerous in places especially if you're not twinked out. At least it was that way for my mage.
Yeah its harder, Ive died like 3-4 times so far.
edit -- And my hunter is twinked out in max PvP gear. I cant imagine what it will be like for those who didnt have 710 items.
Of course you did your prolly in old gear as soon as you get a green set of items for the xpac its OP SAUCE.. Im not bitter at the game itself I just hate the devs for ruining my favorite past time because there greedy AF.

nah
did log in under a friend account just to check
same shit, bored of it
curently playing ff14 since 2 week and that alot more fun for me honestly
dont understand why but cant get back into wow. i have try since 2 exp, it never work and im bored after one days....
TBH, Legion kind of is and will be the same formula, just with 2-3 twists. People will enjoy the twists like open world quests and such but in the end it will just be level more characters as efficiently as you can so you can get them ready to raid. Raid for a few weeks/months till you're bored and unsub for a few months.

If you're bored of the same shit, I'm surprised you enjoy FFXIV. I agree that Legion is mostly the same shit, but almost every themepark MMO ends up being the same shit once you've played enough of them. If it weren't for friends, I probably wouldn't enjoy WoW, or any other MMORPG for that matter.
The games themselves aren't that fun to play anymore. When I can sit down to a brand new MMO or expansion and know exactly how everything works before the opening cutscene ends, there's a problem. A problem with me, in that I've played way too many MMORPGs, and a problem with MMORPGs in that they've all become so predictable and so unchanging.
I recently sat down to play Dark Souls III for the first time. I was lost, frustrated, confused, and in awe of how difficult some of the bosses were and how awesome some of the players who ganked me looked. It was the best gaming experience I've had in a long time, and it made me realize what MMOs are missing for me. They're missing any sense of adventure whatsoever.
You obviously aren't playing and don't know a thing about this expansion.
Well i just finished playing it and YES it is the same thing minus your new artifact weapon which gives you a few skills everything else is just passive dmg, haste, etc % gain.. As soon as i hit level 101 and went to the hall and was greeted with double swords on a wall map and followers for hire with mission's to start doing AGAIN i logged out. It's the same thing but now we have hall resources instead of oil. So after all that work, time and gold spent on Garrisons we get to do it all over again only for it to be worthless when the next xpac comes along AGAIN. I might be throwing in the towel now. Yes there are some improvements , appearance tabs, etc etc etc... But in the long run it IS 2.0 and the last thing i want to do in a mmo is micro-manage a hall, town, garrison. I don't want to be playing the sims. I want to be out adventuring , killing chit, and having fun.

I'll just wait it out. No reason to be in a rush.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I will accept that explanation if you can explain how that is consistent with what Suzie has done here http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/935/view/reviews/load/453/page/2
