Edited post because i got my games mixed up lol, thought you were talking about Dark&Light.
Anyway i played Age Of Wulin which is the European version of Age Of Wushu. The game is a PVP game but there is a hella of a lot of PVE content aswell.
I hope they enhance the kidnapping and offline features further.
Hmmmm. Never had an interest in Age of Wushu but I might look into it now. Lack of questing as primary content and full loot PvP. That suggests player conflict as the driving content of the game which is always fun.

......... Dont play the American version its no where near as good as the european Age Of Wulin.
All out PvP with full loot, and no quest - might as well put a toe tag on it now. I guess Snail games really doesn't have a clue about the NA market.
You don't get it man. Probably never played AoW. Things like death penalty, bounty hunters, jail, beheading and the like lead players to make decisions; "Is it worth it?" From those decisions cultures along with cultural norms form.

Albion is doing the same thing and I am loving that game. It is a Western made game.
Yea, however Albion is no all over all the time full loot PVP.
The only 'safe' zones in Albion are a couple right outside of major cities the entire rest of the world is open PVP. I am playing the game now and have been murdered 5 times just going from one city to another.
This is pretty much the reason I won't be trying Albion. I don't consider that fun.

That wouldn't happen in Wushu unless there was some real personal beef. The repercussions are just too high for senseless killing.
edit- If there was some real personal beef you would know why, expect it and understand.
I have so many good memories from Age of Wushu 1 even if I only played it for a little while. It's one of the games that had so many intricate features and social aspects. I remember joining a guild and becoming bandits, raiding other guilds and their caravans. It was a awesome experience and the music was superb. It reminded me of EvE online in how everything rested in the player hands and their economy.
Age of Wushu 2 can deliver but we'll see if it goes p2w or not. We'll see! I'm hopeful

This is how Lineage 2 was. It was open pvp after character creation but it was not a gank fest because of the repercussions.
PVE and PVP players co existed because the pvp system was really good.

A: There's weight limit for backpack. So you are restricted by item weight instead of item number.
Finally, a game that doesn't use the ridiculous slotted inventory system.
A: Depends on the materials the house is made of.
So he huffed and he puffed and he huffed and the puffed, but the house of bricks did not fall down.
A: Yes. Now I don't see any punishment for being criminal.
Queue the tears and prepare your anus's for an influx of EVE refugees.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.

There has not been a better system.
AoW2 just might pull me out of mmorpg retirement.
