In the coming months, Trion Worlds’ and XLGames’ ArcheAge is set to undergo its largest free content update ever with the launch of 3.0: Revelation. Bringing two new races (one for each faction) each with their own regions, the Dwarves and the Warborn are about to shake things up in the ongoing battle between two halves of the world.

    Brand new servers only available to new accounts sounds fine to me, so everyone can start in an even play field. Patch 3.0 sounds awesome, hope that these changes will give new life to Archeage, since most people agree (I assume) that Archeage is one of the finest mmo´s out there, that was mishandled by XLGames/Trion.

    The Warborn look like a race straight out of TERA. I'm always down to play a dwarf!

    with the way they set the new server im IN for sure to play until the game get bad again!!
    even if that last like 1-2 months like last time it worth it ( before they updated the cash shop )

    1-2 months of fun incoming :)

    will be back for it for sure,dont know how long im gonna continue playing it tho,probably for few months,would love it if they removed P2W tho,that would make me last for quite a long time....

    also i kinda think that December is quite late for this patch,i expected it to be out much sooner,dissapointed in that,downloaded the game like a month ago especialy for this patch so im ready,now that i know that i g2 wait 3 more months,kinda meh....


    Lets just hope that trion gets their shit together and that they wont fail again with their " GET AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU CAN,NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT PLAYERS AND THEIR OPINIONS " policy.....

    Looks like a very good update. I am still not interested in the PvP options with this game due to the wallet warriors dominating everything but the new PvE focus is very interesting.

    Only problem with a sub only server does not fix the problem for people who play alot vs people that can't. It can end up with less people just to group with in the game. Is like this with Allods Online they have 1 server that is sub with no p2w and people avoid it do the lack of people. it just ends up that people are playing on the free to play server with all the p2w. Who know I like Trion to try a sub server for arche age, but the hard part is how to get people to push in and pay there mostly sub or even try out sub a server over free to play. If does not go to good. How many more piss off people that Trion will end up with even more if a sub server does not pan out.

    Yeah its still a PVP heavy focused game no matter how they try to word this update.

    I don't care this game is p2w because they allow multiboxing and they have events every month that cost no labor or low labor requirement. Archeage is more account or character to win. P2W is save me also , if I don't have a time to play. If you have more time to play you don't have to p2w. You need to think always how you make money in to the game. You gonna make your own content because it is fantasy sandbox MMO. The first I start this game I always have trial and error making gold in this game. I always watching the map to do a trade run without getting gank or time to do it. I always watch the auction house to make a gold. Example: there is new expansion in archeage coming, before of that I buy a lot of stone brick for 24 gold each. After the expansion release and stone brick is 80 gold each in AH. I sell a ton of Stone Brick and I win the game!!! It's gear that I made in Archeage I have the story. My friend die in real life and my guildies tell the story about of her in game that she is really good in fishing. So we do fishing in memorial day.

    Havent bothered with this for a long while.. I guess it's still pay to win?
    How's labour regen for subbers these days? Same on and offline?

    There was a crafting mat that was used in pretty much everything, crystal things I can't remember the name of now, that were so scarce hardly anyone could actually craft and upgrade stuff. 1,000s of bags opened and they get a few scraps of these things.. Anyway, how is the drop rate for crafting mats these days?

    I'd be tempted to give this a whirl on the fresh start server and keep my fingers crossed Trion doesn't fuck it all up again..

    If they did a New P2P only server with no cash shop items and just put all the cash shop stuff into the game somewhere I would play again. People can bitch all they want about People who can play all day vs people who cant and a cash shop equals that out, yet dont get that it becomes a Wallet Jocky game then. I would rather get beat by a skilled player that is good and has time than someone that has $10,000 to spend.

    After the mess that was AA I've vowed never to support Trion again in the future. This update, especially the new servers, does sound interesting though. I just don't think I'd ever be willing to give Trion a second chance. Perhaps, just perhaps if CU or Crowfall aren't out by then I may consider jumping back in for a month or two just to get my money's worth out of my Founder's Pack.

    Trion is just one of the publishers of the game. It is not their game and they do not set the monetization methods. XL Games does. People need to stop with blaming one of 6 publishers for a game none of them own or control.

    First thing I thought was someone was spying on WoW and borrowed the Demon Hunter and Dwarf classes.

    More PvE is good. I could never understand why a game that featured farming would limit PvE so much after 30. A lot of people just like to farm and craft stuff.

    Trion has fought hard to improve the monetization method since release and has done a great job in turning ArcheAge into a far better game here in the West. Just as the Lager Network Publisher has done in other regions. Or Mail.Ru in the Russian Region.
    All of this is very well documented and covered over and over again yet sheeple continue to parrot the same thing over and over again even though the facts are clearly available and are ignored. 
    FAr better than what Blue ... its still a terrible P2W tragedy , so Trion as given us a turd that doesnt smell quite as bad as a russian turd.. BFD .. i say ... All of there terrible decisions are also well documented and still the schillples still parrot the same thing over and over even tho the facts are clearly avaible and ignored ..  ... See how that works

    What appears to be a new game to some, appears to be a last content update before yet another low point for Archeage. They ignore terrible flaws and push through, with their fingers in their ears all while yelling "LALALALALALALA can't hear you"

    I don't understand why they're hell bent on misleading PVE players who don't want player conflict ever, into the game. Once they leave these 100% peaceful territories to do ANYTHING they're going to get a rude awakening. Even on the most docile of servers. Then what?

    I don't understand why they're hell bent on completely ruining race/class balance with 2 new races that have offensive combat cooldowns built in, while every single other race has their inconsequential passive traits. Are they introducing offensive racial traits to the others?

    On top of this they're introducing new servers (after recent consolidation? WTF?) which will more than likely cause the others to die off. 

    I'm gonna need a non-shill to talk me through this.

    This again lol. You really don't think Trion has anything to do with anything except putting their name on the opening credits as the publisher? I'll pass on this. Fool me once.....
