Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have annouced that the console version of Star Trek Online is now in full live release. XBox One and PlayStation 4 players can access the game through the Legacy of Romulus and the Delta Rising expansions.

    Thats good news for the console crowd ... Great game ..Im sure they will get caught up on the content , Plenty for new players to do till then

    I think this is fine, get them into the game, and the game developers will expand the console content with time.  With the additional income from the consoles, we will see even more content updates!


    The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

    Right now content is the least of their issues.

    I am seriously not impressed with the PS4 version. It runs like crap.

    And that ugly as hell square in the middle of the screen covering your character's head is just hideous! Who the hell came up with that?

    I thought after the Neverwinter PS4 version it couldn't get any worse.

    PWE and Cryptic should just stick to PC and put more resources there, instead of focussing on Item shop and Lock Box crap only! /facepalm

    strangely i do not have these issues on xb1. though i can imagen that they are annoying.

    i guess its all per person
    im personally enjoying it way more then i did on pc
    minus the abysmal camera zoom in problems

    I was planning on getting a PS4, but after Sony started showing their true colors, I may just get an XBox One and wait for Scorpio to do VR.

    It's more than just Sony being poopy, my niece and her husband are hardcore XBoxers,. and I was thinking of them as well.  My niece in particular is supposed to be an infamous terror in shooter games!  The only reason I was thinking PS4 was they were going to have affordable VR first.

    I was planning on getting a PS4, but after Sony started showing their true colors, I may just get an XBox One and wait for Scorpio to do VR.

    It's more than just Sony being poopy, my niece and her husband are hardcore XBoxers,. and I was thinking of them as well.  My niece in particular is supposed to be an infamous terror in shooter games!  The only reason I was thinking PS4 was they were going to have affordable VR first.



    Funny how it's now MS trying to do right by their customers (for consoles, at least), and Sony is the one being the money grubbing jackasses. With inferior hardware at that (PS4Pro is left in the dust by Scorpio).

    Same here. No such problems on XB1 either. The game runs smoothly. I hope it's just a technical issue and if it persits they will fix it soon.

    Sony need the money, its the Playstation division thats pretty much keeping them alive, and after the Ghostbusters 2016 fiasco that cost them over $70 million, they are probably doing whatever they can to increase revenue streams.
    Theres also the 'new' issue of whether to buy the new PS4 if you already have the old one, probably not, which is not something that can be said about the new Xbox Scorpio thing, people will be throwing XB1's away in droves to replace them with the newer versions which are drastically more powerful than the old XB1's. :o

    Played last night for a few hours really really bad port to PS4. However it did encourage me to reinstall on PC and go back to playing my old account.

    Either way AMD wins being the new GPU of both systems and close to releasing their own GPU integrated VR headset. Wouldn't it be something if the new AMD VR headset was compatible with all three systems, Scorpio, Pro, and PC as a result. Total game changer.

    I have been having a great time with this. No performance issues, the camera can be a bit wonky but you get over it.

    Playing a MMO on a console is playing a game with one hand tied behind your back.  While you can do it, you are missing out on the major point of playing a MMO, communication with others.

    In my opinion this game is barely above C level status.  If you are a trekkie you will be sadly disappointed.

    it's not even "cross-console", i mean they seperate ps4 from xbox .. so u got 200 players on x1 and 200 on ps4 .. good job PWI.

    Honestly thought it was a turd on the PC and its still a turd now on any system. My cousin is a huge Star Trek fan and has a PS4. I tried to warn him but he found out the hard way. He told me I guess I should have paid more attention and read the reviews before.

    This game runs at 10-15fps on PS4 during ground play pretty sad. Space combat is at least playable.

    im playing it on ps4 and having none of these issues others have said, ok controls need a bit of getting used to (neverwinters is worse!) but overall it aint bad.
