I've looked at their video a few times and I must say I wish CoE had done something like that. No UI or gameplay but it's ok because you see artists actually working on the project. I like this a lot better then just scenes of open countryside and empty towns or just one character walking which is pretty common now a days.

I'm not sure Amazon thinks I'd like to *watch* games more than play them. The only time I would be interested in Twitch was for a new game reveal or the like. Otherwise, I'm not their demographic.
Yeah I can't speak for every "older gamer", but I don't get the Twitch thing. My kids love it though.
If you are looking for a sandbox that is innovating look at Dual Universe.
You should all know by now that big money is not going to innovate. It will look pretty thats it.
I've picked up quite a few games recently after watching them on Twitch and deciding I liked the look of them; games I otherwise either wouldn't have known about, or wouldn't have looked at.
If a streamer I like is streaming something new it gets it into my awareness.
So, make the game interesting enough to watch and/or get the right people to stream it for a couple of days whilst answering questions and people that other wise wouldn't even know of your game will be made aware if it.
Im very interested, but me fears its RNG again. As soon as i read "procchance" or "regrade chance" or something, its off my list. Im the guy with the solid work. Going by % chances is against all my values.
Well the "build you own" fits. The RNG side depends.
RNG that the weather might be dry or wet - no problem. RNG that a chest might have been looted previously - usually accepted. RNG that your super power hits or misses - occasionally but people object to streaks. RNG within RNG within RNG - see WoW forums on how Legion is panning out.

I mean it's nice that there's potentially a AAA western mmo on the horizon. I'll feel more strongly about it when more information is revealed. No reason to not be cautiously optimistic for now I guess.
Only New world is actually representing something interesting, the others seem more hype games meant for streamers.
Don't kid yourself this games big talk is no different from all the other big talk games on the horizon.
I dont see any big talk games on the horizon
Perhaps you need to look again.
Crowfall and Camelot, meh, we shall see, they are more niche that people realize. We are looking at a game on the scale of WOW, SWTor, GW2, FF14. None of the games on the horizon meet that
My guess on Twitch integration is that Amazon/Twitch Prime members will be able to spawn mobs and events for ingame players. If this is the case, communities will certainly form around this.

We could be looking at a game on an even bigger scale.

There is nothing at all wrong with RNG in a game as long as there isnt a cash shop tied to it.

Assuming the graphics are high quality and "exciting adventures" - with appropriate editing can be created - why not Amazon TV.
They are invariably and unpleasantly surprised when unintended participants show up to join the party.
Live streaming of your battle plans just seems like a bad idea, but depends on the design I suppose.
