have to agree with Shodanas, SWTOR f2p is fine, especially since they streamlined the game so you can do just the main quests and advance. Eve and SWTOR are completely different games. One is a themepark with an excellent quest system, the other is a space sym with terrible quests but good PvP
I find the only thing worth playing in swtor is the class story missions and side missions. I find everything else in the game lame. What kills it is all the freaking so called class balancing they are doing only because of the whining PVP players. But the F2P model works out fine for me because i can solo it like a single player game. I don't care about anything else in that game.
Who does that ? Increase leveling so fast to bring players to the 50 level limit only to make them feel like they are wasting their time if they don;'t buy something. I get the fanboys of swtor think everything i spunky doory, but that game is dead. Age of conan has more players playing the swtor and that is saying a lot.
Pricing , is ridiculous, pay 4 months to get unlocks, that is over 60 dollars pay 20 dollars for 5 levels as free to play pay 40 dollars as a level 50 for articfact unlock pay 1 time 60dollars for 60 days for 180 days pay 77dollars for a year pay 154 dollars, wow. These are the price of people who have no clue on micro transactions and simply want another porsche in the drive way.
You know what I did in EVe today, made 5 million ISK working towards my goal if PI. So you can run tell that home boy
That's a lot of misinformation there. And mockery towards people who dare to enjoy TOR.
I do not know where you pulled these numbers from but they far and away from reality.
As for Age of Conan having more players than TOR..
I presume credibility is not one of your concerns.
Awesome, I hope you enjoy it. Its a great game. Have you looked into what most people pay to play that game? What is required to just keep up with the Jones in EVE?
Who are these Jones? I've played for 6 years steadily on just 1 account with a 2nd account part time (I only use it for moving things around). I play pretty casually as well spending most of my in-game time on various PvP activities.
The posts/threads about how important $15 is to someone baffled me 10 years ago, now it's just outright insane. I haven't played swtor since 3 months after launch, but even a basic google of what $15/month gives you is pretty impressive. If you want to play in a huge open universe with spaceships, pvp, player economy, play eve. If you want single player MMO content you can also play with others, with lasers, play swtor.
It's OK to burn out on a game because you played it super intensively. No need to make playing this or that MMO (or any game or any hobby at all) your personal flag of alleigence.
