I wont buy it, but that is a pretty good deal for people on the fence.

This sale is nice. $4.99 is the cheapest package! I really wish they had a Recruit-a-Friend offer like in WoW. The gift package is similar, but it requires you to pay for a friend's game key, with no guarantee they will keep playing to lvl 30.
Does the 4.99 version get you along or are there some other preferable packages that include bonus stuff?
The others have nothing you can't get later on. The Explorer pack has the best goodies by far though, total value wise.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
Thinking of purchasing this during teh black friday sales, if ppl can recommend it being decent and if its easy to get grouped in? Most online games have fixed communities that play for a bit then the whole guild moves on to the next released mmo.
Is this game good and steady, has it been fixed with the early released issue's and problems. Would you recommend it? or would you say stay away from it?

Depends on what you mean by "grouped in". People group frequently to grind, yes. But there are no raids or dungeons if that's what you mean by grouping.
I've been playing it since release, so yes, I would recommend it. The early issues like the hacking have been fixed by them moving things serverside, instead of client (like they -should- have done from the very start, since MMO players can't be trusted not to tamper with it otherwise).
