The Darkfall: Rise of Agon team has released a brand new trailer to show off improvements to the game since the last round of closed beta testing. The video paves the way for the commencement of Early Access on Friday, December 16th.

I am not sure about their alignment system, I think it could be exploited by players.
The main reason why DF failed is because their poor alignment system.
Not sure this is gonna fix it.
I played DF for 2 years, DFUW for 1 year and I am testing Darkfall New Dawn (not Rise of Agon)
So I know exactly how shitty their UI was compared to the other 100 MMOs I played.
It looks like this Team managed to greatly improve the original UI, which was one of DF weakest features, I really don't see anything wrong with my statement.
Have you watched the video at all?

[mod edit] You are basically wanting a game like Skyrim graphics. But this is one big ass game, one realm/server, can hold hundreds/thousands(theoritically) of players at once. Completely sandboxed and can build your own castles etc pretty much anywhere tyou want, seige a big ass city with hundreds of allies if you wanted to, -'d yet.. you think they can magically make this game have some AAA graphics etc?? Do you realize the server and your computer will be already strained asmuch as possible? For a game like this to work, especially with their server system ... you have to make compromises. Also for those playing, how is the population? I heard its dead.. Hust like UW.. Man i was sooo hyped when DF got announced many moons ago. I was apart of BKB(Black Knight Brotherhood) and we were so hyped we formed a mega-alliance of smaller guilds. I honestly forgot what we called ourselves it was quite a long time ago. I played the game for a few months before my computer got fried during a storm(evenblew out the surge protector), and only just recently got a new computer many years later. I just dont want this game to flop, esp. if I buy it... So many good games like this die shortly after release. Just like mortal online, Fall of Mankind, Tabula Rasa and many other games that wscaped my mind... Just these games have so much potential, its very sad to see them go.. Does anyone know the answers to my questions? I am really interesred in how big population is.. Since DF pretty much failed, I have a huge feeling people wont buy it because of the track record, -and those people are probally thinking like me. Hell Mortal Online only has 200ish active players on steam(not much on solo client I am pretty famn sure). darkfall has like 100. That is nothing for a game like this. Those are both dead games, -and i heard the same about RoA which I realllly hope isnt true. I still havent played Gloria Victis, but I own it. Devs have great promise and irs a similarish game but not as sandboxy, its sandbox but not exactly like this. But it has good promise and I will stick to it and actually start playing and get addicted if this game is dead already. (I am jst tired of buying games, esp in Alpha/Beta/Early Access because they always always flop sooner or later,usually sooner. Just tired of wasting money for a game that wont suceed, Which I hope this game will... but who knows(odds aint looking good IMo)
Client graphics quality has absolutely no connection to the server and network performance. All that matters is the amount of data transferred between the client and the server, and the amount of processing of said data.
Graphics processing is done client side and obviously with a poorly optimized engine showing 100+ unique characters on the screen simultaneously can be taxing to even the most powerful gaming PCs today.
Still, graphics quality has no effect on server performance, so there is no reason a dev could not make a game look AAA and still perform well on the server side with 100 player battles.
