wow-really?
Surprised that you count horizon: zero dawn as an RPG yet never mention Nioh.
I'm still working through 2016's crop, lol, and it looks like 2017 will be even better for my type of game !

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
I always take a wait and see with warhammer games. 90% are crap.

It looks like is going to be a great year for RPGs, looking forward Divinity: Original Sin 2, Torment:ToN, Mass Effect 3.
But there are also a couple in the list I didn't know about and attracted my attention.
Horizon: Zero Dawn - Looks fantastic but won't be getting my money sadly as it's a PS4 exclusive. I'm not a thumbtick warrior, so I guess I'll just watch some youtube videos of people playing it and give the YouTubers money instead of the game developers. Too bad for them. Oh and if is isn't clear yet: Fuck exclusives.
Maybe it's just me, but I think that Mass Effect should have died with 3. I'm not even slightly interested in Andromeda. Maybe when the reviews hit I'll be proven wrong. Lets see what Angry Joe has to say about it. Usually if he likes it, then I like it. Although that bastard has been slacking on channel content lately so who knows if he'll even get around to reviewing it.
ELEX - Ok, this one could be pretty damn awesome if they get it right. Well, at least right for my tastes. I love the science fantasy type stuff. It's one of the things I liked about Final Fantasy before they went Final Emo on us. The idea of equipping a bastard sword and a plasma rifle and wading into combat sounds pretty damn fun actually.
I mean, Space Marine and the latest "MMO" they made were crap along with many others, but Dawn of War, Dawn of War 2, Total Warhammer, Vermintide and Battelfleet Gothic were all pretty darn good.
The thing with GW based games is that there's no middle ground. I've not come across a "Meh" or a "Good enough" GW game. It's either really good, or pure crap. Which I guess is a good thing since I can trust that the good ones are worth the money.
Paid alpha launches, DLC and microtransaction ripoffs, poor story, high twitch/low tactic mechanics, spectacular-innovations-that-make-no-difference-and-everyone-else-copies, massive profits for execs and marketing/busdev teams but $hiz for developers and creative content, negligible support for flawed implementations....
Please wake me when I'm proven wrong.
I do look forward to ME:A, but I won't be pre-ordering or buying on launch day. I'm going to let the honeymoon phase die down and then check on the reception before I buy it.
Yeah, I learned like 4 days ago that it was coming out on January 27. It kinda pisses me off lol, so many JRPGs came out in a few months around Christmas and I have so little time to play them all.
You will reward them with money for the bad decision of making zelda exclusive?
Now I can go look at an "Upcoming MMO" list for 2017 and be excited for exactly zero of them.
