What a completely ridiculous poll! The number of people on this forum that are looking forward to the that game is miniscule!
Mu legend will be a huge bust in the west because it is no different than any of the other eastern games. What a complete joke!!!!
Pantheon makes sense, I see it talked about on the forums all the time, I can remember one post from MU Legend at best and it had few responders. Voted for CU myself which is really a niche game.
Seems to me that someone has constructed a very good bot.

Let's not have a meltdown quite yet. They are going to check the poll and I'd bet good money that MU will be taken off due to fraud and the poll averaged out accordingly.
Though I'm not saying it isn't possible, I highly doubt there will be any fraud detected regarding Pantheon players. They might be disproportionately represented due to how active the community is, but you can't really blame us for getting out and voting while other communities stayed home.

Yeah no. Pantheon only makes sense relative to Mu. But 3.5X more than Crowfall and CU? Nah... ain't buying that. Something fishy with the Pantheon vote too.

Pantheon also asked people to come vote for them. I'm sure that's part of it, but as to the amount of people that would actually inflate, I have no idea.

I'd be surprised if that were the case. The Pantheon community is growing rapidly since the last livestream and the results here are entirely plausible. In addition, Pantheon developers were actively asking for our community to vote in this poll.
That being said, it is totally possible something fishy happened, but I just don't see the type of person that is interested in Pantheon doing something shady. We're talking mostly older and adult gamers. It's all conjecture though, because we're just going to have to wait for the results of the audit.

At least this thread is still interesting.
If I saw numbers that said the Pantheon had 15% and CU and Crowfall were both around 9%, I could totally buy that. But the results I'm seeing are skewed by voting campaigns + possible cheating for both Mu and Pantheon.

The major difference you have to take into account here is that Pantheon had an organic progression to their score. We saw Pantheon go from First place at 12% over other games in similar scores ranging from 9-11%. Then Pantheon had a strong lead around the 17% mark on Saturday night where MU was at a very low 5%.
Then you see MU On Sunday night has shot past every other game besides Pantheon with 0.6% growth an hour over 2 days? And Pantheon is 5% total above where it was before.
If you look at how content "Trends" on social media, Its a steady progress up and then it eventually caps off once the outreach of the content has been exhausted. Pantheon naturally plateauing two days before the finish makes sense. It "Hit its stride" to put it simply.
MU on the other hand never Plateaued. It gained 0.6% on average an hour for almost three days! I know there Facebook presence is big, but their twitter/discord/reddit is not. So it makes sense for them to get a big boost in scores from their FB fans, but that shouldnt account for Three days of upwards progress, unless their FB followers decided to collectively pace themselves over the course of the weekend in a highly organized and aggressive effort.
Again, its entirely possible MU got here naturally, ATM and from the way we have seen their monster progress, it just doesnt look like that from our perspective. Im going to wait for an official word from Bill and everyone else, as they are taking the right precautions here and deserve our patience and respect in the matter.

The Pantheon "plateau" had much more to do with the Mu surge than anything else. Taking Mu totally out of the equation makes the Pnatheon surge really stick out like a sore thumb. That 12% vs. 9-10% for the closest competitors makes much more sense than the end results.

Not really surprised I guess. The original MU had a ton of fans and I am sure many of those fans are looking forward to this new game. I dont think any cheating happened I just think they have that many fans on FB that decided to make an account to vote for the game.

It doesn't surprise me that Pantheon has 3x more followers than CU. EQ had more than 3x players than DaoC, and FFA PvP games are generally not very popular, only exception being EvE. CU is more niche than Pantheon in terms of demographics (I am sure you disagree though).
Some of us keep saying that Pantheon will be more popular than some people think. I don't know if it's going to be 3 times more popular than CU, but I don't think they are on the same league in terms of potential.
I also think that the VR team inviting to vote might have slightly influenced the outcome, though I voted for it because I like the concept, and I am not alone apparently, though it appears for some people that's an hard fact to digest I guess.

This is factually incorrect. Here is a screencap of the scores on Wednesday January 4th.
Panth had Plateaued on Wensday the 4th at 19.6% which was - .7% different than its score on Sunday the 8th. Look at MU Legends Score on Wensday the 4th - 0.7%
Camelot Unchained was VERY close by at 17.4%, Crowfall at 13.7%, Shroud at 10.5%.
Again we organically saw Pantheon progress to the score it had by this point. MU's rise over the weekend is what caused the mass inflation of scores.
MU went from 0.7% on Wednesday to 27.9% on Tuesday. Again Ill let you draw your own conclusions, but that does not seem like one facebook posts worth of bump IMO.

I actually only knew Pantheon was soliciting votes because I got an email from them. So, they put in a little more effort than the other games did to keep up.

Multiple outlets of social media outreach. Were talking about every few hours on Facebook, Twitter, Discord, with tons of people seeing how close the scores were and recruiting people and posting about it. They def rallied to get more interest in the game and the poll.
MU had (1) post on Facebook, and (1) post on twitter (with (3) Likes mind you) after the surge.
Pantheon no only didnt win but lost by 2%, so in other words, with all that social media outreach they couldnt "keep the pace" against that FB post from two days ago that sparked all this new hype for MU.

It does seem, that on these particular forums, that Pantheon gets talked about far more than the other two. Or, I should say, it has the most active followers. I doubt it's more popular than the other two, overall, but around here it does have the most steady post-stream.
I should note, that I am not one of those Pantheon voters.

To be completely honest with you I don't really care about polls, they are hardly correct (See Brexit and Trump).
But I'll go a step further. I am willing to bet with you that Pantheon will have 3x more active players than CU when they launch (and not because a poll say so). I for one am stoked for CU. DAoC is still going today. This type of game from a western developer will find it's audience for sure.
Actually the two feature of CU I'm most stoked about are not even things that existed in DAoC: the ability to create your own spells/abilities and the object-based nature of status effects caused by the interaction of one type of effect with another.

You don't need to do that, or I might increase my odds to 5 to 1. I have been rather conservative with my prediction, I don't want to upset people, as it seems that every time there are signals that this game might actually do really good people get annoyed.
It's the only game in development (or ever) where I see some of the experienced posters in this forum lose their composure.

Though I'm not saying it isn't possible, I highly doubt there will be any fraud detected regarding Pantheon players. They might be disproportionately represented due to how active the community is, but you can't really blame us for getting out and voting while other communities stayed home.

We are all waiting for Special Agent @BillMurphy with his report
That being said, it is totally possible something fishy happened, but I just don't see the type of person that is interested in Pantheon doing something shady. We're talking mostly older and adult gamers. It's all conjecture though, because we're just going to have to wait for the results of the audit.

There is also a good chance that Pantheon might also be so much popular than CU and Crowfall, it doesn't sound such an absurd proposition to me.
If Pantheon wins 3-1 then we'll know you're on to something.

MU had (1) post on Facebook, and (1) post on twitter (with (3) Likes mind you) after the surge.

Compare to Pantheon's twitter:

Pantheon no only didnt win but lost by 2%, so in other words, with all that social media outreach they couldnt "keep the pace" against that FB post from two days ago that sparked all this new hype for MU.
I should note, that I am not one of those Pantheon voters.
But I'll go a step further.
I am willing to bet with you that Pantheon will have 3x more active players than CU when they launch (and not because a poll say so).
There are so many reasons for it, from demographics to competition, if I have time I might start a thread on the subject, just to explain my train of thought on the matter.
I honestly think you are underestimating this type of game.

I have been rather conservative with my prediction, I don't want to upset people, as it seems that every time there are signals that this game might actually do really good people get annoyed.
It's the only game in development (or ever) where I see some of the experienced posters in this forum lose their composure.
