Grouping Games

Games that cannot be played solo!

Games where I need other people to progress at least to some extent.

Games where I not only need to play with other players, I'd want to do so. Not just at end game, but throughout the leveling experience.

Does anything like this exist?

    Nope WoW wiped them out, and no developers want to touch them with a barge pole since then.
    Pantheon is your best bet but it is not released yet, and I don't think it is going to happen this year.

    Though you could try EQ (PvE),  EvE or even Darkfall (PvP).
    I am not sure they fully fits the bill though, EQ is not the same it was originally and the the two are heavily PvP focused.
    I also heard of Project Gorgon, I don't know much about it but you could give it a try.

    If graphics don't matter, P99 is the best bet for PvE followed by playing official EQ servers, preferably on the Phinegal server (sub). PG is worth checking out as well and does have group content in the form of hard mobs and a lot of skills to level up.

    Umm if you try Perfect World International you will find yourself looking for group at lvl 19 with first dungeon. At level 40 you will have daily quest in dungeon for which you need to find group. Many bosses in game cannot be soloed. Community is nice and helpful and it is easy to make group of players with who you can run dungeons daily.
