I'm sounding like a stuck record just lately but I'd prefer an MMO where it takes a couple of weeks to get to level 20 and not 10 minutes. Ok, so I'm exaggerating a little. 15 minutes. Although it does look nice and plays well, I won't be playing further as I'm not a fan of the asian setting, models and themes.
it take month get to max level... and we are talking about chineses peoples who play each day, all day
the grind become real at around lvl 60++ and the game got 79++ level...
it dont level that fast, dont worry about that
and LOL at the guy up ... a mmorpg who need group ?? how dare them !!
yes you need group and friends for do stuft... that a old school mmorpg, you cant solo everything
I was interested in this game, but a lot of the things I've been hearing are making me lean towards not bothering with it, especially these three.
1. If you want a "Founders Pack" you have to buy one for each character you make?! I have NEVER heard of "Founders Packs" that were character and not account bound.
2. Its been getting a lot of negative reviews for the P2W cash shop items that might or might not make it to the game (but lets be serious, they'll be there)
really enjoying this. It has a lot of features, I almost stopped after 5 minutes as it seemed like the same old Asian "F" key, auto-follow, garbage, but I read enough reviews that said "GET PAST LVL 20" that I took the whopping 20 minutes to do so and found and incredibly fun game along the way, with the promise of a deep game to follow with a lot to offer.
It also took me 3 closed betas to start to see what Revelation was really about.
No it is not the next big mmo but I have come to understand that those are the types of mmos I will never enjoy. The smaller games that have like minded dedicated players are what offers what I am looking for.
I hope open beta is next and the translation is done.
I have a lot of hope for Bless Online, but I agree that smaller projects are most compelling to me right now. Pantheon, Heroes and Villains and Ship of Heroes have my attention to the highest degree right now.
I am keeping a close eye on how VR progresses. Looking forward to that more than anything! A superhero game in VR? SIGN ME UP!
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!
As mentioned by someone else in the thread, My.com being the publisher is my biggest concern and is probably what will keep me from even trying the game.
For anyone that knows My.com, you are probably aware of their project from 2014 with Allods and Obsidian, Skyforge. Over the last year and half, that game has turned into a shallow husk of what it once was purely kept afloat by an insane power creep. There were also frequent in-game events that amounted to nothing more than gambling and tiered-reward system based on how much you gambled. Now they're introducing a premium ranking system where the more you spend on the game, the more bonuses you get from playing the game, which was initially just supposed to be a feature of paying for the premium subscription.
I'd worry for the long-term health of any game being published by My.com, no matter how fun it was at the start. I learned that the hard way.
Honestly not looking forward to this game at all unless I see proof the game is really going to be good...
1.) There isn't much information on the crafting system....
2.) There isn't much information on How housing is going to function....
3.) No information on Character Customization & Re-customization, but based off what I hear this game is going to be highly Pay 2 Enjoy.
On the other hand I have installed ESO, the Housing is flat out $120 for the biggest house in the game if paying with real money, don't have to though, Character Models are halfway decent and at least they offer some character re-customization with unlock packs not fully but trying to get them to give more on this...
Over-All ESO feels like a better game, although I would still try Revelation Online, I just don't have any hopes for a game like this, and my reason is looking at the founders packs and arguing about pay 2 enjoy "They Give Scrolls" that boost in game stats and XP rather than simply combine all 3 of these scrolls with a "Premium Subscription" like it should be.
Sky Forge on the other hand is better IMO than Revelation Online, but its a totally different development team from my understanding.

1 - Crafting is an important part of game, everything like food/potions (many many different kinds), furniture, siege weapons/defenses are crafted. Also half of BiS gear is crafted gear...
2 - No idea yet...
3 - Cosmetic or functional? All stats and skills and much more can be customized freely and point by point, you can also save custom sets to switch to. Visually you can wear everything from clothes to accessories to head bands and backpacks. All those visual stuff can be dyed in various colors. Also you have so much control on your characters appearance when you create one. So far no mechanics to re-shape characters features (like body size, gender or haircut) in-game, but who knows...
Pay 2 Enjoy is a big word considering you haven't played it yet. Everything this game offers in cash shop can be easily farmed in-game if you have time (and don't need too much imho), whatever else that can not be farmed in game like premium account, can be bought using in-game currency (by exchanging it to cash shop currency through in-game legal mechanics)
