Destiny News - In case you missed it in our post about Activision-Blizzard's Q4 2016 earnings, the gaming giant has informed fans that Bungie's Destiny 2 is coming sometime in 2017, though the exact timing of the release remains unknown.

    If Destiny 1 is any indication, this game should be feature complete after about 5 hours of dev time.

    1 more pure fighting game I never knew I did not need. Or hang on, I actually already knew...
    How many games do we need of the same kind over and over and over......

    How many NPCs and PCs needs to die, before people have killed enough? Could it like end some day or at least, could things get balanced with something entirely different?

    @SavageHorizon Can't help stupid.

    Luckily it's not up to you, good business sense says a first person shooter of any kind does very well on PC. Unless they're allergic to money we'll probably see it on PC. People aren't going to fall for the hype again. So they're actually going to have to work on making a stellar product.

    Definitely holding off on this one... Destiny 1 had a lot of promise as an open world persistant shooter that it utterly failed to live up to, and if the 'expansions' are any indication Destiny 2 will be nothing but a lobby shooter with a loot grind.

    Another console only game I won't play or will they make a proper PC version? I say proper PC version as opposed so a shitty PC port which seems to be the current standard.

    If they have this for PC great but if not ill gladly play on Xbox.

    BUT, they need to do nearly everything differently than the first one or ill pass

    I'm guessing Q4 Holiday season for D2.  I really hope it comes to PC as I prefer to play a FPS with M+K over a controller.  But if it doesn't, maybe it will be the push I need to buy a new PS4 lol.  After all, FF7 remake isn't going to come out anytime soon.

    They might as well stuff the PC product if they are considering it. Games designed for console with a PC port version as an afterthought tend to suck.

    This clear shows you either haven't played the game, or had it on mute and skipped all the demos and didn't read anything in-game. 

    I don't know what do you mean about 5000 pages locked behind an online encyclopedia? You mean there is a site where you have to pay for to read the lore? Or hack the password? Either case, I haven't read any encyclopedia (!) about this game and I know the lore and it is amazing.

    Meh the first was a disaster at launch. After that I don't really care for this one

    common, they promised something they could not deliver with the first one, what game company haven't done that ? xD

    PS4 and Xbox One are both x86 machines with AMD graphics and CPU. PS4 Pro (4.2 Tflops) has AMD Polaris and the new Microsoft Scorpio could have the new GPU from AMD called Vega if not it will be a faster Polaris than PS4 Pro running at 6 Tflops. These machines are custom gaming PC's in a box. Xbox One runs on a cut down version of Windows 10 using directx 12. All this talk of poor ports is yesteryear. The only thing I see being a bad port is the control system from controller to mouse/keyboard. Destiny 2 would not be difficult to bring to PC just like GTA V. Console games sell more than PC games, Skyrim sales where 85% console.

    Try Destiny 2 at breakfast, it might fair better.
