$300k that would be better spent finishing the bloody game or sitting on so they can hopefully avoid laying off 1-2 folks for a while during their next round of layoffs.

Daybreak is such a fucking joke.

Does Daybreak really want to show this game on TV?

Think of it as a wager to attract more audiences.

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

Imho it would be better used to make the game actual fun to play and upgrade those very dated graphics.

This shows you where their priorities are. They are pushing to try to make this some kind of e-sport when the game is completely broken and a mess. Try making the game consistent before making competitions and documentaries with it. I hope the document what a buggy shit show this game really is.

    People are surprised?

I wouldn't fix the game either. Why fix any game. Just throw in a cash shop with cosmetic items and have a small development team create fun little outfits for $40 each. The stupidity lies with the players and the player base in general. The majority of people are dumb as bricks.

Having said that. H1Z1 is a popular game and has a large following. I had fun playing it for a while, till I got sick of seeing only cosmetic features added with little to no content updates provided. It took them years to release some half assed new map.
