Mass Effect: Andromeda News - Console Mass Effect Andromeda fans had been looking forward to a promised technical test of the game's multiplayer. That isn't going to happen, however, as Bioware has announced that it's a "long story but right decision for how close we are to going live".

I'm excited for the single player mostly. A little disappointing to know that the multiplayers servers and multiplayer in general will probably be a mess for some time. I think this has a lot of people questioning how ready MP really is. "Tested extensively on consoles" doesn't bode well for PC is what I take from that statement. I actually cancelled my pre-order due to the lack of gameplay videos, and the sudden cancellation of MP beta. The whole thing just makes me think this game is now being rushed out the door.

My new found control has me waiting for reviews and twitch gameplay rather than pre-ordering games. This was the last one I had on pre-order. Proud to be breaking that habit.

There have been at least a couple of lengthy game play videos recently. Having had the opportunity to play it a couple weeks ago, and being a HUGE fan (just check the avatar LOL), I can attest to how damned fun the game play is.

    Jet pack. 'Nough said.

    Gameplay:

    17 minutes

Thanks all. I have seen those. With probably 1000 hours in the first 3, I'm a huge fan. Those videos feel more like area demo's rather than someone jumping in there and living the world. Ha, maybe something just has me super skeptical.
Suzie, your personal experience has me more intrigued than manufactured hype videos. Did I miss your video?

Marketing probably nixxed the idea of giving a whole load of players access to the game before launch. Hype sells more when the anticipation isn't tempered by hands-on experience...

No video. Just hands on. I have...significantly more time in ME3 than 1000 hours. >.> I absolutely love the combat in Andromeda. The jet pack is amazing and it all goes down exactly like those videos. The ability to mix/match abilities and skills from different trees is so cool.

When I played, I used Biotic Throw, Engineering Overload and Soldier Concussive Shot. What a total blast to not be confined to any one type. With the ability to save different load outs, it just gets better.

Honestly, if you liked ME3's combat (SP or MP), you'll love MEA's and the improvements they've made.

For the record, I also played ONLY on keyboard/mouse. After Dragon Age Inquisition's utterly horrid PC controls, I wanted to be sure MEA's would be up to snuff. It is.

Thanks Suzie. I appreciate the insight. The Keyboard/mouse was a huge hold back of mine after DA:I also (amazing game btw, even with the "filler" quests)
