hmph, gotta tell yas as a current and UO player for going on 20 years now , i got a Founders pack for AO over a year ago , have tried it several times , even recently ...
AO is nothing .. Nothing at all like UO ... its not even close ....of course ... imo
Calling games successors is always problematic. However, successor doesn't mean 'clone'. Some think that unless it's exactly the same, it can't be a successor. This is faulty reasoning. If it were exactly the same, it wouldn't be a successor, but UO itself.
Whether Albion is or isn't a successor to UO, is immaterial. Do you enjoy Albion Online. Believe it or not, you can enjoy UO and Albion. Nobody will think less of you (well, most ppl. There are always done knuckleheads on the interests((
Small map, too much forced pvp are my experiences from this game. Not sure what it will be at release, but I think it will be just a niche MMO at this point, unless of course they make major changes.
This one seems to be making all the right changes. Anxious to try after the final wipe.
Same! Wipes are for people with way too much time on their hands. Same goes for PTRs
Actually in a sandbox like this you might want to hop in before release and familiarize yourself with the game's crafting, pvp, what build you might like etc etc. You don't want to be clueless on day 1 while everyone else burns past you. Knowledge is power in pvp games.
This UO argument is shameful to watch. Basically a pissing contest only weird part is they are trying to prove themselves to be a bigger loser than the other... Baffling.

When was the last time you played? The current complaints tend towards the map being too big and not forcing PvP enough. (At least from what I've been following). One of the complaints was that when the redid the map, they removed a certain amount of necessity to PvP and spread the population out too much.

I have been playing off and on for a while now. Not sure what games you play, but I have not played a MMO on a map this small in ages even with the latest changes. Even if you just want to craft you still cannot avoid pvp, it is just part of the game. Some people like that, I lean to more open world than this game offers.

I play all sorts. Wasn't trying to be critical, was meant to be an question. Generally speaking the complaints have been to the reverse for the die hard pvp fans. I find the small zones a bit constricting, but the overall map to be large. I think the overall system is good, but could definitely use some tweaking. With the map the way it is, this should be a fairly easy adjustment... getting it correct though!?
I haven't commented on this site in ages , read it all the time, but this? This is just the next step in advertisements I guess? , this isn't an article, hell this is not an opinion piece. This is just another AD slice as the other "article" (at least that one said "Sponsored" ) , why are you guys stepping so low? I use to love this site and loved working here in my day under the "other name", but geez Bill, I mean seriously this is a new low even for you, are times that bad? I mean delete comment , slice it whatever, but I am just aww struck and disappointed. I am a sad puppy bud.
The use of "Sponsored" plugs are understandable and reasonable even thou a bit annoying as posted "article" spots., but we get it you need the funds to keep going, but this? ouch, low bro brother, not cool not cool.
