I'm almost tempted to re-sub. But there's too much to play.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

The patch for those that tl;dr people.

    - You can craft few crap legendaries
    - Added more artifact traits, cause we didn't have enough to grind
    - Added a new zone which will provide more world quests cause obviously people love grinding world quests for crap rewards.
    - PvP Brawls - now that's at least 2-3 hours of solid fun until it gets boring so props for that.
    - Pathfinder part 2 - That's right if you do all the crap daily in few weeks you will be flying, so you can do all the useless crap easier
    - Legion Invasions - Fun for 1-2 hours
    - More order hall campaigns
    - New dungeon, so you can devrsify all the AP grind I guess
    - Pet Battle Dungeon - now that's exciting right!
    - Paragon reputation system - cause the grind is never enough
and finally the feature which I'm most excited about - NEW MUSIC WOOHOO!

Honestly I've been playing since early alpha and the game has never been in a more sad situation.
Whenever I log the main thing I feel that I have to do is grind more AP cause... well there is no end to this. Gear is almost irrelavent, because the moment you get some gear, there is a high chance that you might replace it in 25 min after you finish your next mythic +. At this point I don't feel like even socketing/enchanting my gear with proper gems/enchants.
Mythic(high end/hardcore) raiders are obviously exempt from this crap situation where they change the gear every 30 minutes, but most of the normal(aka casual) players are facing that situation.

The only thing I'm happy to see with this new patch is the ton of mounts that they are adding, but the sad part is that practically almost all the mounts are hidden behind the grind...
    Paragon reputation mounts = grind
3 new pvp mounts = grind

It seems that Blizzard has decided that this expansion will be just one huge grind to compensate for the previous expansion which was logging to send your followers and logging out... Still I had more diverse things to do in the previous expansion than I do now, where I'm forced to just grind, grind, grind whether it's gear or AP.

Btw just to clarify. My sub is and has been active and will remain active, because WoW is still my favorite MMORPG, but they really need to take a look and think things through.
Playing more than 1 hero while trying to be on the same level as the rest who grind all day is already challenging enough nevermind trying to actually play with alts.

Also they can at least fix the PvP a little, by removing gear ilvl relevance and artifact traits, because while at the beginning it might have been somewhat of good idea at the moment an alt with 860 ilvl vs someone's main that's 910 ilvl have 5% less stats and I won't even mention the traits which can really tip the scale.

Yeah, the one thing this expansion did was make playing alts a real negative.  If you don't concentrate on one character you have no chance in keeping any character current.  Thought about resubbing for about a minute and then realized nothing much has changed and like Bill said there is just too much out there that is actually fun to play.

If by "current" you try to say "bleeding edge" then i agree. Good thing most people are content with just reaching the regular end game.. and that you can do without to much of the actual grind.

Agree with the "so much other good stuff to play" part.

This have been a good conversation

I won't resub until they fix Druids. That won't happen, so I'm likely done. I almost broke down and quit back when they broke DKs. I loved tanking on my Unholy DK more than anything else I have ever played. I was so upset when they changed that. I swapped mains to a druid after that. Constant class changes is what made me quit when this latest expan launched. I played on and off (mostly on) from when I started playing WoW in 8/2005 to just after Legion launched. I couldn't even level up my druid to max level. Both my wife and I quit when Legion launched. I've never taken so much time off from WoW...and I have no desire to go back.

I resubbed yesterday. Haven't played since... Ulduar (3.2) I believe. Rolled a Draenei Death Knight so I could skip the 1-60 content which I know has changed since I last played, but I want to primarily experience Pandaria, Warlords, and of course Legion. Don't have much intent on really doing the whole end-game grind treadmill, but I'll muck around for a bit. See the new systems, experience the story, and move on when I get bored.

Your complaints, while possibly justifiable, have been the problem with almost every MMORPG since their conception. It seems you have problems with grinding and questing (part of every game I can think of), but WoW offers a lot more content than any other game out there. ie over 2000 achievements, battle pets, archaeology, and a lot more. Play WoW like it was still 2004 and just enjoy it, or play something else that is exactly the same. :)

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

I don't have problems with grinding. Every WoW expansion and major patch always come with 1-2 months of grind, but this expansion isn't 1-2 months of grind, but constant grind. It seems that you are mistaking things.
Usually with each expansion there would be grind for rep, but once you hit exalted you are done and you have few months where you can focus on other stuff while now as soon as you log you open your world quests and you see that you have to do AP, Resources quests.
There has never been a WoW expansion that is even remotely close to this grind and in fact I'm pretty confident that if you add all the expansions together you still won't reach this level of grind.

Also yes WoW definitely offers more content, but sadly for me(and quite a few people) there isn't much left. I have most of the achievements done. All my friends are also with 22-25k achievements, so as you can guess there aren't that many achievements that we miss.

Still as I mentioned this is my go-to MMORPG, but the problem is that before Legion came out I would feel the need to log to WoW every day even if it's just for 30 minutes or 1 hour, but now I had 3 months during which I didn't log once... that's really bad.
I'm sure that with the new patch there will be few interesting things to do for the first 1 week, but after that it's back to the grind and that's what I don't like. It's actually not even the grind, but the fact that you do the same thing. Either World Quests or Mythic +.

I've kinda given up on this expansion. I have no expectations, but I do hope they learn and don't use the same weapon system next expansion. Artifacts are awesome idea, but the grind isn't, at least not up to this level. Having 2 months of hardcore grind(4 for casuals) and then being done with it is fine, but knowing that this will probably continue till the end of the expansion.. no ty, too monotonous.
